ᴋᴀʀᴍᴀ ᴄᴏᴍᴇs ɪɴ ᴘɪɴᴋ

         she’s  slow  to  pause,  brows  drawn  to  meet  one  another  in  a  cloud  of  contemplative  confusion.  “he’s  —–  “  a  helicopter  parent?  protective?  family  orientated?  ridiculously  &  stupidly  loyal?  yeah,  somehow  koala  can’t  justify  herself  in  letting  any  of  those  little  details  slip  into  the  spoken  world.  not  without  knowing  this  girl’s  intentions  first.  so,  she  pulls  back.  lets  her  fingers  ghost  over  the  metal  of  her  lock  before  rightfully  closing  it  with  a  pop.  “why  the  sudden  interest? —–  i  don’t  think  i’ve  ever  seen  you  ask  about  a  boy  before.”  

the look of boredom in her eyes isn’t quite enough to cover the clench in her jaw.  the very fact she’s even here given how discomforted she is with well, anything to do with a hospital or doctor only speaks wonders to law’s bedside manners.

or maybe lack thereof?  her lips twitch between a grimace and a scowl even as she looks back at him, deadpanning.  “bad luck?”  is that good enough of an answer?  it better be, because she’s not giving him anything else and is definitely bolting the second the last piece of tape is patted on the gauze.  which is apparently an iconic move for her, as a tattooed hand clamps around her arm just as she was about to bolt off, holding on so securely she couldn’t even jerk off the bed to fall gracefully into a crumbled pile.
