I think the reason Kiri get's so defensive of Spider when Neytiri points out his otherness is because she also considers herself other and even though she has blue skin like the rest of her family she's never felt more different from them and the slight on Spider also felt like a slight on her because she is different too

speculating other people's art โ be it digital art or fanfiction or any other forms of art โ if it's ai or not harms real, genuine writers as much as ai does
it sucks, but you can never be 100% sure if something is ai, especially in written works. any sign of "ai-generated fic" is something genuine writers do (guess what ai is trained on and what it's trained to mimic). more often than not, innocent human-made fics that were accused of being ai were written by people who are on the autism spectrum or writers whose native language is not english but they write in english regardless (kudos to them!). actually, even proper grammar is now being considered "a sign of ai", when it's... not. people can use proper grammar in their works, that means they are good at grammar, it doesn't mean they used ai to write for them.
if you start normalizing "speculating and accusing people of using ai", then real, genuine writers and artists will eventually stop creating/sharing their works with you, for fear of being wrongly accused, and all that will be left in fandom space will just be ai-generated fics.
Literally.
Spending a good few hours writing a chapter just to have someone spouting bs about ai in your comments ๐ซฉ๐ซฉ let me write my avatar fic in peace
I just know Spider haters were MAD as hell when Neteyam greeted Spider warmly with a hug, playfully wrestled with him, and called him "little brother." I know they were SEETHING when their little headcanons and TikTok edits about how Neteyam died hating Spider for "getting him killed" were never and will NEVER come true. I know they were jumping up and down fast, like toddlers throwing a tantrum, seeing Spider be on good terms with Neteyam. That just pissed them off so bad that all they can do is whine and complain on TikTok to cope.
