The Starks - an edit of my sketches. Winter-thematic, on a new year’s eve... I think this counts.
It really was a rough year, even for such a pathological introvent like myself. Rereading ASOIAF is what truly got me though the first half of it, during the spring and summer’s quarantined homebound times. My first read of the series happened a year earlier. I guess my main motivation back then was to get the taste of the tv show out of my mouth, but it went so much further than that in the end, as the books were beating the highest of my expectations back then. The intended english language actually made the reread as thrilling of a ride as the first read was. But, I guess even now, there remains a spark in me that wishes to get away from the vision of the series, spoiled by the terrible writing decisions of the latter seasons. At least, this is one of the things what drove me to depict the characters from the books, who indeed are quite different from their show counterparts, in the distanced, practically entirely book description-canonic ways. I’m not going to pretend I’ve planned to blog it right now, I literally just haphazardly edited it together, lol. I had other plans as well... I don’t just to ASOIAF art after all; those sadly have to be put on hold for a bit, there will be more on that some other time. And on a second look, I see that I could’ve polished multiple characters a bit more, both here and the others (that’s coming soon, too!). Still, for the most part, things satisfy me. Long, solemn faces, intermixed with those distinctly different, of the Tullys. The tendency of me, naming all the characters in the western reading order, from left to right, doesn’t seem to stop. So, here we go, again: Catelyn; Sansa; Bran; Eddard at the time of Robert’s rebellion, in his twenties; Eddard at the time of AGOT events; Robb; Arya; Jon Snow; and Rickon. And by the way, happy new year, guys. Your feedback is awesome.
