Dennis can do a back flip and has like no fear of heights and this is how the Pitt crew found out.
HR said the day shift needed to build team morale so as soon as it got warm out a lake front Air B&B was rented for a weekend. Dennis was stoked he loved the water. Back home him and his brothers would spend most of their free time at a nearby creek during the summer. He was proud to admit he held the backflip record from the rope swing.
As soon as everyone unpacked and got settled they made their way outside. Mel noticed the 30 something foot tall deck first.
βThat doesnβt look particularly safe.β She muttered nervously.
Trinity started grinning wildly. βLetβs go check it out!β
When the pittlings made it to the deck their hearts were crushed. The small ladder that reached to the top was missing several rungs making it impossible to climb.
Dennis started to walk around the deck taking note how it was built. βI can get up to the top.
Victoria looked at him wide eyed. βAre you sure, I mean how do plan on doing that?β
He quickly stripped off his shirt and shoes leaving them at the bottom. βWatch what I do, then copy it.β
Like a monkey Dennis was able to climb to the top using the support beams and questionable methods. By the time he got to the top adult supervision had gathered.
Robby looked at Mel. βIs that Whitaker?β
βUmm, yes. He climbed the side.β She responded not looking away.
βThat kid is going to kill himself.β Dana muttered lighting a cigarette.
βI think heβs got it.β Cassie cheered.
From the top Dennis looked at the small group and waved.
βDo a flip!β Trinity shouted.
βOkay!β Was all that was heard before Dennis launched himself off the deck flipping twice before he hit the water.
Everyone waited with bated breath for their favorite farm boy to surface.
Said farm boy came up for air and shook his head like a dog. βI think I can get one more flip in!β
