This girl, you guys. She is so - so special to me. You have absolutely no idea. Through so many things, the really amazing and extremely rough, she’s been the most absolute friend that anyone can find. I don’t throw around the term ‘ soulmate ‘ lightly or any such thing, but this girl is literally my other half. We have such an amazing understanding of each other and this amazing existence we’re able to maintain. Even if we don’t talk for a few days or even a week or so - we always manage to just pick it up right where we left off. She’s been such a wonderful inspiration in so much of my writing and just inspirational as an individual. This is one person that I simply could not imagine being without. Ever. Nor do I even want to try. 

So - today, many years ago, I was blessed with my best friend in the making for me to have wonderfully met and created one of the most valuable and cherished relationships that is withstanding today. Which I am very proud to admit, just overall very proud to have this girl as my friend. So thank you, my lovely starshine, for everything that you’ve ever done for me.

For being there, for sharing your wonderful smile and your wonderful laughs & for creating all of these magnificent memories that I will [ always ] carry with me. This is a friendship that will never be short-term, it will be long-term and life-long because you are someone that I will never, never forget.

Downpour, the Downpour would start up soon again and with all of this fog being nestled nice and warm on the entire town, Murphy was prone to become very—…paranoid. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he paused when he noticed someone else nearby. An actual human being. At least from the back he looked normal. Blinking a few times, the ex con moved in for a closer look.

It was definitely someone.

"Awhile longer?" he repeated. While he hadn't necessarily come across many flesh-and-bone people himself (the entire reason he'd come to the apartment building was to locate some residents, after all), the stranger's subtle reference to time rather than place felt a touch off. Or maybe he'd just imagined it. "Where is everyone? Did those things get everyone in the town?" And what the hell are those things?

Suddenly the realization came that playing 20 Questions was probably not on either of their lists of things to do while outside with odd creatures lurking every which-way. He did want answers, but he also wanted to be out of his precarious spot there in a doorway barring any entrance. With notable hesitance he took a few steps toward the man and offered, "My name's James -- James Sunderland. I'd, uh... shake your hand, but that axe looks dangerous."
