[This illustration is one of a bunch of snapshot moments I (naively) aimed to get out by last Christmas. It’s part of an imagined family gathering during the holiday season of 1979, where all members of the McCartney clan pay a surprise visit to the Ono Lennons in the Dakota. I have many more sketches and ideas, but my inspiration is a fickle thing, and I’m putting this one out alone at the risk of it never seeing the light of day. Perhaps my muse will reawaken and more will follow. For now, I hope I managed to transmit all the feelings I got from the mental image of Sean and Paul interacting under John’s warm gaze.]
