NEW VIDEO: Dear fandom | We need to talk
If you're reading this that means you watched the vid, which means you already showed you care, so thank you for that. But caring isn't enough. Waiting/hoping isn't enough. We need to /actually/ do something so here's part B of the letter:
That being said...Personally, I still think they are endgame. I've been saying this for months now, but here it goes once again: They are /the/ couple of the show. They've got all the attention and promotion since day one [points to the picture they used in the poster for the trend]
They even casted Chloe - among other reasons - because of her chemistry with Brett. They've been a slow burn all season and they've been burning until their very last interaction. They were never OOC even when Ward was some of S2B and def. in the finale. They've been paralleling their every step of their individual journeys ALL SEASON and now they will both start S3 with a new team, as leaders. Coincidence? C'mon, nothing on this show is. Which means they didn't give up on them. Yet. Another thing you might wanna think about.
So how bad do you want them to be the endgame like they were always supposed to be? How bad do you want Ward to get the genuine redemption arc Chloe wants for him? How bad do you want the OT6 back? MAKE SURE TO LET THEM KNOW. Let them know that we're still here, still waiting, still hoping, still standing. Don't hide in alternative universes where they are together or try to move on. Don't give up on the show we all love so much, because of one car crash of a season finale. DON'T. BACK. DOWN.
They're gonna go down the Skinclon road next season, trying them out. The way we will react will decide if they will abandon the endgame that I am very sure has been written in stone since 1x01 or go back to their roots. Because here's the other thing: even tho I personally believe Skye and Ward ARE endgame, because these two characters have been written for each other, that can easily change. If they think we don't care, they WILL find something the audience does care about and go down another road. They will try to please the kind fanboys who want badass chicks in tight uniforms, preferably no romance and a lot of action sequences, like they started last season, instead of the real fans of this show, who love the CHARACTERS. But we do care. This fandom simply hasn't learned how to raise their voices yet.
This trend is a first step. So be there. Be loud. But be respectful. We don't wanna fight against the writers, who gave us our favorites in the first place. We wanna fight FOR our favorite characters and our ship. We don't want them as our enemies. We want them to understand us.To acknowledge us and Skyeward/Ward. Want that too? I hope this one will be the first of many trends and I hope you will HAVE FUN! I am personally planning on celebrating my OTP and at the same time reminding them (the writers/producers/cast) and myself of all the reasons why they are TIDES IN THE UNIVERSE YOU CANNOT SWIM AGAINST.

PS: Trending on Twitter is only one of many ways to raise your voice: If you're planning on going to Comic Con this year USE THIS OPPORTUNITY for all of us and show them your love for Ward, for Skyeward, for the OT6, for the show we love. Ask SMART questions. If they get nominated in a poll? Vote for them. The writers and producers DO follow those, even tho you might think no one cares. THEY DO. And they decide about the fate of characters WE CARE ABOUT. Ergo: WE NEED TO CARE TOO. So find your way to raise your voice.
I know we can do this! Our fandom isn't as small as it seems on Twitter. Most of them prefer Tumblr and being by themselves. Get out and be part of this. We are enough to make this work.
