Back to my roots. MaySkye one shot.

- fitzsimmons are overly codependent and their dynamic felt a liiittle bit forced, don't get me wrong i do like fitzsimmons, i think we just deserved to see them more as individual people too

- the show is great, but the writing isn't a masterpiece, there are plotholes and mischaracterisations and it's fine to acknowledge that

- people overreact about grant, and other villains who commit arguably worse crimes don't get treated the same way (whitehall, aida, kasius, etc.)

- talbot is a pretty good example of flanderisation. watch him in later seasons pre-graviton, then compare him to s1 and he seems quite different and dumbed down

- nobody on that shield team is innocent, and that is fine. you can acknowledge it. they've all lied, done harm, commit crimes, some have even killed people. it makes them interesting that they aren't perfect. stop acting like they're sweet harmless babies who could never do any wrong

- fitzsimmons was favourited by the writers which is why they threw grant's character out the window to make him worse just to drive more of a wedge between him and skye to have fitzsimmons be more popular than skyeward

- skye > daisy

- may's "i'm so haunted and mysterious and cold because of my past and that's why sometimes i treat people like shit" personality in s1 is cliche and gets old very fast

- the whole arc of daisy secretly being inhuman all along was a disappointing turn, that's just a personal opinion though. it felt very YA fiction "oh the main girl found out she was secretly born a magical special secret princess all along", i prefer when people end up tangled in chaos just out of sheer luck.

- VERY hot take here, but grant would not receive the same level of hate if he were a woman. if he were a woman, she'd be either sexualised as a "villain baddie" or infantilised as a "poor manipulated baby" and Skyeward would remain a top ship and would be labelled as "toxic yuri"

- too many fans take everything at face value and don't understand nuance, or on the other side of things will just make up their own ideas and treat them as canon and spread misinformation when there's no proof for what they say

I thought her powers literally shattering the bones in her hands would lend themselves to this but apparently I'm the minority in this.
