…That's it for the IDW Sonic Showdown and the Pause Game Edition! This was a tournament I started mostly because I was surprised to see that no one had done one for IDW Sonic yet and I never expected it would become as big as it did in such a short time. It's been so wonderful to see how passionately the Sonic fandom cares about these characters and especially to see all the surprises along the way If you're seeing this after the fact and wonder who won, then:
Tails won our main tournament that pitted every character in IDW Sonic against each other and Dr. Starline won our second tournament with only the IDW Exclusive characters. We also ran a final bonus poll of Tails vs Starline, which Starline won SO, WHAT'S NEXT?
As of right now, nothing. I did have plans to potentially run the tournament again next year, but in one of the mini-tournaments it became obvious that the polls were likely being botted and I don't think there's much point in running a tournament with botted results. So nothing is planned for the future :(
WHAT ABOUT THIS BLOG?
I kinda used this blog as a Sonic sideblog for a long while, but eventually decided this wasn't the right place to do that, so moved all the IDW Sonic Stuff, Other Sonic Stuff and Sonic Tournament Boost blogging over to @samobservessonic
