Yesterday on Sway’s Universe we kicked off Black History Month with a discussion about what happens when we allow other people to tell our history. Universal Hip Hop Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve global Hip-Hop music and culture to inspire, empower and promote understanding resonated with people from all over the country. Sway and DJ Kay Slay helped jumpstart a national call to support fundraising of the museum with small donations from as little as a $1 to $5 to Spot.Fund/HipHop. Magic happened and @RealSway raised more than $1,000 by the time the show ended.
