Summary: Remus buys you flowers

A/n: this is my first fic in over a year…. I hope you guys like it. It’s a short fluffy one

Upon finishing his last lesson of the day, Remus sighed as he crumpled into his desk chair. With the upcoming O.W.L and N.E.W.T exams, it’s not just the students feeling the pressure. After slouching in his chair for around 15 minutes, taking a few deep breaths, Remus decides to pack up his desk, and pack away his essentials. The view from the window reveals snow covered hills. As he puts his thick winter coat on and pulled his bag onto his shoulder, he stares at the moving photo he has of you and him as teens on his desk. He smiles at that the photo thinking back to when it was taken.

You and Remus were in your last year of Hogwarts, sitting on the sofas of the

Gryffindor common room, huddled under blankets together with warm hot chocolate in hands. It had been a while since you had had the common room to yourselves. You talked about your lives, your futures, your plans. “I cannot wait until we live together” you spoke softly as the long conversations had come to a lull. “Me too” Remus spoke. “Oh, I almost forgot” Remus said as he set his empty mug down on coffee table and pushed the blankets off of him. You sat there with a puzzled loom on your face as you watched him scramble off the sofa and run up in the direction of his dorm. Not even a minute later he emerged with a beautiful bouquet of your favourite flowers. “I saw these last night and thought of you” he said in a hushed tone. You got up off of the sofa and made your way to wards him, by the bottom of the stairs. You reached out towards the bunch of flowers. “They’re beautiful!” You admired. “Thank you, so much Rem!” He nodded with a slight pink blush on his cheeks. Once the bouquet was safely in your arms, he leant into kiss you.

What you two didn’t know until later was that Sirius had taken a photo of that exact kiss. A photo which was loved and cherished by the both of you.

The longer he stared at that photo, the more he realised that he hadn’t brought you some flowers in a couple of months. The realisation of this sickened him a bit. He made a promise to himself that he would buy you some on his way home.

On his normally relatively short walk home from work, he decided to take a detour to a neighbouring village and visit the flower shop you two used to go into as teens. Battling the heavy snow and the bitter frost he turned the corner into the familiar road. Upon seeing the shop open, he crossed the road to enter. A wave of nostalgia hit him. His eyes cast upon the beautiful arrangements of flowers, picturing your face lighting up as it used to all those years ago. The women behind the desk welcomes him into the shop. He sighs a little, happy to be away from the bitterness of the cold. He converses in light conversation, answering questions around who and why he is buying flowers. Eventually he decided on the perfect arrangement of flowers for you. A mix of everything you like. As the kind women is securing the bouquet, Remus pictures you wrapped up on the sofa watching one of your favourite muggle films. After handing over the correct amount of change, he thanks the lady for her time before readjusting his coat and braving the outside weather once again.

As he draws upon your shared, small cottage. He sees the flicker of the candle lights and the slight condensation on the windows, signalling the warmth that is about to welcome him. The snow crunches beneath him as he approaches the heavy, wooden door. His gloved hand reaches for the handle and pushes the door slightly open. As he enters, he wipes his shoes against the mat before setting down the flowers to take the wet coat off and disregard his bag onto the nearby hook.

“Love, I’m home” Remus shouts from the door way of your shared home. The home welcomes him as he walks towards the living room, completely contrasting from cold and harsh winters day which is kept a bay by the thick wooden door.

Ever since George was a child, his favourite thing in the world was pie. It was a rarity in the Weasley household, with so many mouths to feed, the Weasley children were brought up on a very basic diet of what ever food they could afford once Arthur got paid.

Pies were some sort of a luxury, only to be had on a birthday or special occasion. So when George had moved out and started making his own money, he was set on finding a pie which tasted similar to the one his mum used to make when he was younger.

That’s when he came across you and your little bakery. As soon as George walked past it many weeks ago, he knew that he had to try something. Ever since that moment, he was hooked.

George came in everyday to see you and eat your treats. To be honest, he didn’t realise if it was because he wanted to see and talk to you again or to enjoy your food. George never had a problem with it until he notice he was putting on a few pounds. Nothing major, but he didn’t want it to go any further.

One day, gorge walked into your bakery and was greeted by your warm, smiling face. “Morning George! I have some of your favourite pie left if you want some.” George simply shook his head and asked for one of you more healthier pies, not wanting to offend you by rejecting something which you had made for him specifically.

You face only flatted a tiny bit when he mentioned that he didn’t want the pie but it was soon regained when he ordered something else. Seeing George was the highlight of your day so either way you were just happy to see him.

George always heard rumours of a fellow student in his year; y/n. He got told not to be friends with them or not look them in the eye because he will turn into stone like Medusa. He got told that they were evil and would ruin and corrupt you. They came from a long line of pure bloods and a long line of old, filthy money. One could even say that they were a descendant of Salisar Slytherin himself. All in all, people warned him because they were the opposite of him.

But George was never one to believe or care for rumours. After all, many had been spread about his family and their wealth over the years. George believed that there was a decent human under the facade that y/n put up. He believed that there was a warm person who was in need of love.

He tried for months to get you attention and on a few occasions he did get in. He slowly started to bring down the walls that they built up so long ago. He wanted to get to know the real y/n and not the one that you showed to the world.

Eventually, George got in. He got into the castle that was y/n’s mind. He saw how wonderful and loving they were and how venerable they could be. So they went on dates to Hogsmeade together, talking more and y/n even befriended some of George’s friends. It wasn’t a rare sight to see George waiting for y/n, flowers in hand. The two became a very happy couple but all things must come to an end. George never called y/n by their name, he always called them ‘baby’. Y/n was a completely different person, one who everyone associated with terrible things. But George’s baby was a person who just wanted love. Y/n became happy and everyone saw that but all things must come to an end.

Many people called y/n the devil or a demon in disguise because many people didn’t know them. So many rumours and fake truths floated around Hogwarts that no one knew what to believe anymore and neither did y/n. They got told so often that they began to thing of themselves as a monster.

The rumours spiked when news spread that y/n was dating the one and only George Weasley. People said that y/n was poisoning and manipulating George. After all, who could live a monster like them. The walls that George fought so hard to break down went straight back up.

George noticed this right away but didn’t want to say anything until y/n did. George wanted y/n to trust him enough to tell him what was going on, but that was never going to happen.

This took an inexcusable amount of time. I am so incredibly sorry. I hope you like it!💜💜💜

Prompt 7: I’m starting to think you only need me when you want something

“Good morning guys!” You stated loudly as you sat down at the gryffindor table next to all of your friends. An echo of groans and moans was what you were greeted with; granted that you shouldn’t have been shouting at 7 o’clock in the morning, but you couldn’t care less. You shrugged your shoulders and sat down at the table anyway. The once empty plate was now full of delicious breakfast foods that you couldn’t wait to eat. “You’re in a cheerful mood today y/n, any reason why?” George Weasley, aka your best friend (and crush) asked you. You simply shook you head and stuffed your face with a bit of toast. He laughed at the sight of you, you couldn’t actually speak and your mouth was too full and you looked like a chipmunk. As breakfast went on, your friends slightly lightened up abit. Not only were they now full, but they now had matched your energy. That was great for you but not for the poor Professors that had to teach you today.

Your classes went swimmingly. Not one teacher had given you a detention; which was a new record. At least once a day you would get a detention for something; normally it was for talking out of turn or answering back. All was ok though because normally you were with George in detentions. Anyway, you left your last lesson for the day and were walking along the corridor to the stairs. “Y/n!” You heard someone shout your name. A smile broke out on your face as you turned around and faced your ginger haired friend. “Georgie!” You chirped. “And how are you doing this fine afternoon?!” He gave you a cautious and curious glare. Normally, you would only be this happy if you had set something up or played havoc of Filch or Peeves. “What’s got you in a good mood today?” He asked for the second time. You simply shrugged your shoulders and continued on walking. “You know Georgie...” you started as the two of you approached your dorms. He hummed in response. “I’m starting to think that you only want me when you need something.” His face when bright red and his head bowed slightly. “Pfffttt! No, why would you ever think that?” You stopped still and gave George a stare that said ‘really?’ The boy laughed and shook his head at you.

The two of you walked outside and down towards the quidditch pitch as he had practice. You discuss the prank that you were going to pull on Oliver during practice. The plan was that whilst the team were getting changed, you would find the box where all the balls were kept. You need to replace one of the quaffles with one that Fred and George made earlier, one that was filled with glitter and paint. The ball was sent to go off when Oliver kicked it, which was normally was towards the middle of the game. The three of you knew that Oliver was going to be fuming and so was McGonagall. Anyway, the practice game started off nicely, each time scoring a large amount of goals and Oliver had get to kick the ball: until now. The quaffle was thrown towards the bottle left ring. He stuck his foot out and hit the trigger which was inside the ball. Paint and glitter went everywhere. Laughter rung out from all around the quidditch stadium. Fred and George flew down to you and wrapped you in a hug, celebrating the success of the prank. “Thank you so much y/n/n!” George said keeping you in the hug. “Your welcome! It was so worth it!” You giggled into his shoulder. By this time Fred had already left and went to take the mick out of Oliver’s new look. “How about we celebrate?” George said as the two of you looked among the rest of the Quidditch team. “Oh yeah?” Your eyes met George’s. “How about you let me take you on a date?” You smiled at him and nodded your head, accepting the offer. “Cool! Is Saturday ok?” He asked. You turned your back and started to walk back towards the castle. You only got a few steps before turning your head and calling back “I’ll be waiting!” George smiled to himself, excited for the date on Saturday

A lot of people questioned your relationship with Remus. The two of you were near enough polar opposites and you only had a minor amount of things in common; one of which was the fact that you were both professors at hogwarts. Remus of course teaching defence against the dark arts and yourself teaching charms.

Tattoos covered your arms, with a few smaller ones on other place on your body. Each of them held a special meaning to you. Your favourite was the little moon which you had on the side of your wrist. You got it done the day before yours and Remus’ wedding. Along with the silver band that adorned your left ring finger, it was a token of you lasting love for Remus and your way of saying that you loved him no matter what.

Many of the students found it weird that you teached a subject like charms as it didn’t really suit your appearance; as you always dressed in dark clothing and had a very mysterious aura to you. However as soon as students started to learn they realised why you had a passion for it. They saw that as soon as you started teaching, your face would light up and you wouldn’t have a cold demeanour anymore. Most first years would assume that you taught defence against the dark arts or potions as they were considered “more fitting” but your love for charms said otherwise.

One of the funniest things that happens at the beginning of the year is when first years find out you and Remus are married and what you teach. The look in their faces is hilarious and will have the pair of you doubled over in a fit of laughter.

When one of either you or Remus weren’t teaching and the other was, you would be sat in each others classrooms. This was a incredibly rare occurrence as you normally had to catch up with marking papers. Students begged you for months for it to happen more often but it would only happen once a year- like today.

It is the last day of term and seeming as students have been begging you for the last 8 months, you thought that you would sit in Remus’s lesson. It was the last day of the school year so it wouldn’t be damaging to the students class work.

As you approached the classroom, you saw that no one was in apart from your husband. He was hunched over his desk, pulling and tugging his hair, something he often did when he was stressed. You walked into the classroom and stood behind him, placing your arms around him and your chin on his shoulder. He immediately relaxed under your touch. “Hey” he sighed and kissed your temple. You hummed and smiled in response. “What’s up?” You question peering over him and looking at his notebook. He stated back down at the blank page in front of him. “I don’t have any idea what to do for this lesson, and it starts in 3,2,1. Bingo” he finished as students started piling through the door. “We’ve got this!” You said as you stood up straight.

“Professors!” A boy named Danny shouted. The class abruptly stopped talking and looked at yourself and your husband. Many of the girls started talking at once, “please say that you are both going to be in this lesson. I am praying to Merlin”. You smiled and your husband stood up. “We are in fact!” He said moving towards the front of the desk. The group of 7th year students all cheered and rushed to their desks, making sure that they are not wasting any of this peculiar moment.

Many people would assume that living with a werewolf would be incredibly difficult. From the long nights caring for them and the sudden mood changes leading up the the full moon, people would assume it’s tiring and draining. They would be right in some sense but wrong in others. For example, the long nights wondering what state your husband would be in when he got back home was exhausting but the reward was that he was back home, safe and sound in your arms, breath steady as he slept. All of this however, could not compare to the anxiety that washed over you when Remus would be away on an order mission. Order missions were dangerous, scary and life-threatening; and Remus had to go to protect Harry: your late best-friend’s son; you godson.

You had never been one for these missions. The sight of blood made you cringe- you had no clue how you had put up with Remus for so long; maybe it was love blinding you; but with Remus there was never large amounts. The was a huge war going on, blood was being shed everywhere so it was a ‘no thank you’ to order missions. You normally would help around the house- where ever you were staying at that moment. You helped clean, cook, prepare for the next day or when everyone got back. This was a way to put your mind at rest and forget everything that was going on in the world. These tasks would normally take place with a short, ginger haired women who had now become your partner in crime- Molly Weasley.

Molly knew something was up from the send you walked downstairs from your bedroom at 12 Grimmauld Place. You looked ill but had a certain glow to you. The exact same glow she had when she was pregnant. “Morning Molly” you said, voice quite rough. She nodded at you as a plate of food was placed in front of you. Molly watched you from the corner of her eye: you scoffed down your breakfast quickly, barely leaving a singular crumb left on your plate. Laying back in the dining room chair, you placed a hand on the small bump. You found out a month ago that you were pregnant and was just waiting for the right opportunity to tell everyone: however it seemed that Molly was going to be the first person to know. “Are you pregnant?” She questioned as soon as you put your arm on your tummy. A nod was your reply, as you face immediately burned up as you let your biggest secret go. Squealing was all that you heard from Molly. “They’re going to be so cute. Aww! Just imagine a little y/n or a little Remus running around the house, I cannot wait!” To be honest you weren’t sure if that was aimed at you or if Molly was just talking to herself; but you graciously accepted the bear hug from the older women.

“I am so sorry I’m late, I got kept behind at work!” You explained as you made a frantic enterence into an order of the phoenix meeting. The enterance was quite dramatic, you bursting through the black door to the kitchen. “Ah, y/n!” Sirius said as he stood up to greet you., gently pulling you into a hug. “I’m so glad you could make it!” You nodded and agreed. The only empty chair was two seats away from Sirius, second from the right, in between a man you recognised as Arthur Weasley, the two of you knew each other through work, and another man who looked to be around a year or two older then you. As you took your seat, Sirius introduced you to the group. “This is y/n everyone. Y/n this is...” he paused to take a deep breath in. “Arthur, yours truly, Mad-Eye Moody, Harry, Hermione, Ron, George, Fred, Molly, Ginny, and lastly Remus.” You followed the direction of Sirius’ hand as he pointed to all the individuals. “It’s lovely to meet you all, as Sirius said; I’m y/n.” A circle of nods run around the table with a mumble of helloes.

The meeting was going quite smoothly. Well, as smoothly as a meeting during a war could. That was until Sirius told Harry that Voldemort was raising an army again and Molly tried to intervene. “No, that’s enough. He’s just a boy. You say much more and you might as well induct him straight away!” She said, snatching the news paper out of Harry’s hands. “Here we go!” You mumbled and rolled you eyes, head then crashing on the table. A chuckle came the man you had learnts name was Remus. “I’m thinking the same thing!” He whispered. “This probably won’t end well.” Sure enough, it didn’t because Harry said “Good I want to join. If Voldemort raising an Army, then I want to fight!” Sirius clapped his hands and gave Molly an ‘I told you so’ look. “Bloody hell” Remus said, his body perfectly in sinc with Sirius as they both leant back in their chairs. You giggled abit at his reaction, it was obvious that the two of you were thinking the same thing. “Don’t you think it would be better to discuss this when Professor Dumbledore and other members are here?” Hermione asked, well more told. Heads nodded in agreement and that seemed to have settled it for now.

Everyone chose to ignore the mutters of disagreements and profanities coming out of Harry’s mouth as everyone packed, ready to leave and go back to their respective rooms. As everyone left and you started to stand up, Remus put his hand on you shoulder to stop you. “Hey.” He said softly. You turned around to faced the older gentleman. “Yes Remus?” Was your reply, a smile dancing on your lips. To be honest you thought he was kind of attractive and he seemed like a nice guy. If you weren’t such a nervous wreck all the time, you probably would have asked him out by now. You were pulled out of your thoughts when Remus started talking again. “You said you got held up at work,” he paused for a second to formulate his sentence without sounding like a stalker. “If you don’t mind me asking, what do you work as?” A smile spread across your face, one of your favourite subject to talk about was what you did for a living because you found it so cool. “I work at the ministry, I study werewolves. I’m currently trying to find a way of reversing them. You know if the person doesn’t want to be a wolf anymore, they can take something that can reverse the effects and harms of being one.” You rambled. A shocked expression made its way onto Remus. “Wa- wait. So you... um. So you don’t think that werewolves are monsters?” He finally spluttered out the sentence. You shook your head and him and giggled. “Of course not. I couldn’t even begin to imagine being a werewolf. I feel sorry for everyone who is one. I mean the amount of pain and suffering they have to go through. I wish I could give them all a big hug you know. Oh and don’t get me started on the kids.”

10 times. 10 times Oliver had blown you off and completely ditched your dates. Of course you understood that Oliver had other priorities, not just yourself but also homework, other friends and of course quidditch. But to miss 10 dates, something was off. What made matters worse, these weren’t dates that you had arranged; Oliver had. He was missing his own dates that he had organised. You were fuming about it.

Today you had hope that maybe, just maybe he would turn up. Either way, you had a shower, put some makeup on and did your hair nice. You knew that Oliver would appreciate the effort, even if he didn’t; you still thought you looked pretty for today. Seeming as it was approaching winter, it was a bit nippy outside so you decided to put on Oliver’s old quidditch jumper, some boots and your coat. Hogwarts was stunning this time of the year. The trees were slowly turning into an array of deep reds and purple; the forbidden forest even looked appealing to enter. You followed the cobbled path down to hogsmeade. The stones had a slight dark and glossiness to them, from the cold and rainy night previously. The grass was covers is a chilly due, making your surroundings ever more beautiful. The door to the three broom sticks welcomed you with an aura that could only be described as warm and homely. You stepped through the large barn-like door and observed your surroundings. Students and teachers were chatting in the corner, a few boys sat at the bar, looking not much older then yourself, drinking and laughing away their worries. Making your way further into the pub, you spotted a table in the corner, a table for two. Shrugging off your coat, you placed it around the back of your chair. You took a deep breath and allowed the warmth of the pub spread into your cold body. The watch that was a grift from your parents last year, beeped on your wrist indicating the hour. 2 o’clock the watch read, the time that your date had been arranged for. It didn’t matter if Oliver was late, well for now away. You grabbed a book from your bag: thanks to an expansion charm, you could now hold anything you wanted in there. So, to pass the time of waiting you decided to read for a bit until Oliver came.

You didn’t realise how much time had passed. So immersed in your book, you didn’t realise that the pub was now empty, apart from the few local drunks and the sun had now set. You sighed as you scanned the pub, finding that Oliver was a no show once again. Once stuffing the book back into your bag, you put your coat on and walked out of the pub. You had never liked walking back up to the castle by yourself, mainly because you had to walk near the forbidden forest. Anyway, you couldn’t stop the tears that fell from your eyes. Normally you would try and be strong, but today all your emotions were coming up all at once.

It was just before dinner when you reached the castle. So instead of continuing to your dorm room, you decided to quickly get your tea first. You entered the great hall and sat down at you usual spot, by Fred and George Weasley, which also happened to be next to Oliver. “You look like you need a hug!” He exclaimed as his arm wrapped around your shoulder. As soon as his arm made contact with you, your body stiffened. You ignore him and start eating your dinner as quick as possible. “Woah! Slow down tiger, I don’t want you to choke!” He laughed. He laughter stopped however when you gave him a side eye glare. His face flattered and concern washed over him like a tidal wave. “What’s wrong?” He asked. The only response you gave was a scoff. “Y/n?” He pushed further. You had enough and through down you knife and fork making everyone jump and stare. The food on your plate laid unfinished and abandoned as you stood up from the bench and made your way back to your common room.

Oliver sat there in shock as he watched you leave, a tinge of pain in his chest as you walked away. From his knowledge, he couldn’t remember anything he had done wrong, or what he had done to make you not even want to touch him. He was brought out of his day dream by Fred throwing a piece of bread at Oliver’s face. “So idiot sandwich, care to explain what that was all about?” George said, referring to what just happened with you. Oliver shrugged his shoulders and said “I don’t know, I haven’t done anything”. Fred and George looked between each other and Oliver, rolling their eyes at the older boy. The twins knew that Oliver never thought that he did anything wrong, so they were going to make it their mission to find out what he did this time.

You decided just to call it an night when you got back to your dorm, not having the effort to go and socialise. After a few hours of tossing and turning, your body decided that it really does not want to sleep. Sitting up, you sighed and grabbed your blood from your bedside table. By this time it was around midnight and your dorm mates were all asleep. So, you closed the curtains to your bed and whispered “lumos” making your wand illuminate. Making yourself comfortable, you started reading whilst listening to the distant sounds of your friends snoring, fast asleep and in their own little worlds. Your mind kept drifting however. Thoughts wizzed around your head, a sense of sadness washed over you. “Was i over reacting?” And “I’m sure that he didn’t mean it!” Were the main two thoughts. You undeniably felt bad for giving Oliver some sort of silent treatment, but you were hurt, he had hurt you. Your thoughts were running wild and you were getting overwhelmed, so you jumped out of bed and made your way down to the common room, sat on the sofa a tried to concentrate.

Morning soon appeared. The sun rose high over the Scottish mountains. The school was beginning to come alive. The sound of students and your friends waking filled your ears. Many of your friends would not have dreamed of waking up this early on a Sunday morning but no one could help the thought of a Sunday brunch sounding so appealing that it really was something to be up and ready for. You watched people go to brunch, your friends included, but the was one person who would not allow you to sit on your own was crouched in front of you. “Did you actually get any sleep last night?” Oliver asked concerned. You may of heard your boyfriend but you certainly did not acknowledge him. “Come on love, why are you ignoring me?” He asked him voice cracking, like he was going to cry. You sighed, slammed your book shut and stood up, as if you were going to leave. “Y/n, I’m not going to let you leave until you tell me what I’ve done or what’s wrong!” He grabbed you arm to stop you. “Please!” Turning on your feet, you faced your boyfriend again. It was not like Oliver to beg you for something. In all the years you have known him and been dating him, the boy had never begged for a single thing. “We had a date Oliver.” His hear tilted to the side. “Yesterday, a date, that YOU arranged.” You tried to keep your voice as calm and flat as possible. Oliver’s face fell, as if he was trying to remember what you were on about. “Yesterday! Oliver! That is the 10th time you have ditched me.” His features softened, raising an arm to comfort you, but you pulled away from him. “Oliver if you don’t want to be with me, that’s ok. Just say instead of ditching me all the time!” The beginning of your sentence started off angry but at the end you just sounded deflated. “Please Oliver, I cannot stand the hurt.” You said as a sigh, eyes beginning to shed the tears you had been trying to conceal. “Hey, hey, hey!” He lulled, bring his hands up to your cheeks. “I don’t want to break up with you” he said laughing. “In fact it’s quite the opposite. But I’ve been trying to find a way to tel you that I got the job.” Your head tilted to the right as you stared at him confused. “Next season I’m going to be keeper for Puddlemere!” He gushed. “Well done Oliver! But what does this have to do with me?” “Well dove, they are going to give me a house and I wanted to ask you if you wanted to move in with me. I miss all of our dates because I’m always having meeting with management. I’m sorry angel I really am.” He rambled finishing with a sigh. “I wish you would of just told me” you laughed as your head made its way into the crook of his neck, the pair of you now hugging and holding each other tight. “And of course I’ll go with you.” He pulled back and beeped in excitement. “Howeverr...” you started, Oliver’s face fell. “If you ditch me one more time; that deal is of the table; understand” He nodded furiously. “Good, now let’s get some breakfastttt!”

Family was a strange concept to you. The love that they shared was something you could only admire. You came from a long, long line of death eaters; all pure blood Slytherins. You were shunned by your family and kicked out when you were sorted into Gryffindor; the rival house. You were secretly grateful for the sorting hats decision: as to be honest you didn’t like or get along with anyone in your family. You wouldn’t say you were glad to be the disappointment but you would rather be different then be one of them.

You envied the Weasley family for years. They all shared a special connection that you lacked and longed for. You saw them all talking at breakfast, all smiling and laughing. You watched from a far at the other end of the table, yearning for the same thing; but you could do was stare.

The one person in that family that you couldn’t bring yourself to hate was Fred. There was something about him that drawed you to him; much to your despise. It might have been the soft and shiny red hair, or the brown eyes which held so much love but also mischief. You didn’t know but what ever it was, you didn’t like it.

That continued for another 4 years with the envy you had for his family. One thing that did happen though, was that you had started dating Fred; around a year ago and the two of you were still going pretty strong.

You were in the dungeons when he pushed you, rather aggressively into a broom closet. “What is it with you?” He questioned; hair flipping to the side as he tilted his head. “Well hello to you too Fred. I’m great thanks for asking.” You said sarcastically; the pair of you rolling your eyes in return. “Yeah,yeah, yeah. Let’s just skip that stage shall we. What is up with you.” You looked him in the eye, trying to figure out what he meant. He cleared his throat before clarifying. “For along time I’ve been trying to figure you out. I mean you come from a long line of pure blood Slytherins and you magically get sorted into Gryffindor.” You cut him off abruptly during his sentence. You crossed your arms and said “That is how magic works Fred.” “Shut up. As I WAS SAYING! I always see you around glaring at my siblings, what is your deal? You act like you want to kill them. You are fine with me on my own but as soon as it comes to them, you are completely different.” You went to answer him but this time he cut you off. “I mean I would get if you wanted to kill us. You come from death eaters and we are just blood traitors.”You gasped; tears brimming in your eyes. You had tried your years, ever since you joined hogwarts, trying to prove that you were nothing like your family. You tried especially hard for Fred as you knew that your parents didn’t get along very well. “Do you really think I’m like my parents?” You questioned, voice wobbly and meek. “I don’t know probably. I don’t even know that much-“You didn’t here the rest of his sentence because you walked out before he could see you cry. You tried so hard for him and he still thinks your someone your not.

It took a few days for you to come out of your dorm. Ever since the incident, argument, accusation happened, you hadn’t left your bed. You felt to embarrassed and hurt to go out. Thoughts ran around your head like ‘if my own boyfriend thinks like that, what does everyone else think?’ You friends manage to drag you done to the great hall for dinner, promising you your favourite dinner. You begrudgingly agreed, quite fed up with them pestering you all the time; and also you were really craving f/f. You and your friends walked downstairs and into the great hall, sitting right at the end of the table. All was going well until you saw from the corner of your eye the Weasley’s all whispering and pointing in your different. You couldn’t stand it any more so you legged it. You ran out of the great hall and out towards the quidditch pitch: feeling the need for fresh air.

You admired the view from the quidditch stands. You could see hogwarts: dimly lit and the trees of the forbidden forest swaying lightly in the breeze. You hadn’t noticed that someone had followed you until a jacket was wrapped around your shoulders. A familiar and comforting sent was welcomed along with the jacket. “I’m sorry.” Fred said. He looked at you properly for the first time since he found you up there. You looked so pretty staring off into the distance. You cheeks were starting to turn a bit lighter from being exposed to the cold for along time. “I know you different to them. I don’t know what I was thi-“ the end of his sentence got faded out because you had finally acknowledged his presence. He watched your movements carefully but sighed in relief when you leaded your head on his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder. “It ok” you muttered quietly. Fred just smiled and brought you closer; the two of you trying to keep the other warm with your body heat.

“I just don’t understand why you don’t like my siblings” Fred said after a moment of silence. You sighed and took a deep breath before answering. “It’s not like I don’t like them Freddie. I actually love them. But…” you took a shaky breath. “I guess I’m just jealous. You all have such a strong connection and I guess I just want a relationship like that with my family.” Fred don’t really know what to say; so he just moved you so that you were sat on his lap, his arms around your waist and head leant against his shoulder. “I love you, you know that right?” He said. “Yeah, I do. I love you too” you smiled back.

You tried for the next few weeks to make amends with the Weasley siblings. Of course it took a while for them to warm up to you, but you could finally say you were sort of friends with them all. You even started to get a bit closer to Ron’s friends: Harry and Hermione, which lead you to the situation you were in now. In the hall of prophecies; in the ministry of magic. The plan was to go in, get the prophecy and leave, but seeming as you had Harry Potter with you- nothing went to plan.

It started off ok, Harry got the prophecy and all was well until death eaters showed up. A cloud of black smoke surrounded all of you. You cling onto Harry, knowing that he was the reason why everyone was here. After all the smoke cleared, you realised that it was just Harry and yourself standing next to the veil; all your friends were taken by death eaters. Each one of them had a death eater restraining them, wands pointed to the children’s necks. “Y/n?” You heard your mother call out to you in shock. “Mother.” You nodded your head, acknowledging her. You knew that of you paid her no attention, things could go down hill very rapidly. At least now, you have said something to her. “Y/n?” You heard Fred and Ginny call out to you simultaneously. You looked over to them, your eyes filled with pity and regret. “She’s your mother?” Fred sort of whisper shouted at you. You nodded ever so slightly. “Hey, you know I can hear you right?” She spoke.

Your mother made her way out from behind Lucius Malfoy and made her way over to Fred. “And who may you be, mudblood?” She asked viciously. “About that...” Fred started. This was really not the time for one of his sarcastic comments. “Technically I’m not a so called mud blood as I am pure blood.” You could feel the bile rising from your stomach, if Fred didn’t shut up, you knew your mother would kill him, so you had to interrupt. “Shut up Fred this is really NOT the time.” You said putting emphasis on ‘not’. “Sorry love” he replied. Fred really didn’t know how to shut up. “Love?” Your mother questioned now focusing her attention on you. “LOVE?” She screamed at you. You flinched at the sound of her voice. “Yes mother, love. Fred. He’s um...” you paused for a bit. “Boyfriend!” Fred shouted. “Well you didn’t have to say it like that did you Fred?!” You screamed back. He chucked in response before groaning in pain from a punch from your mother.

You could see the angry glint in your mother’s eyes. She terrified you on a normal day, let alone when she is angry. Your mother ran towards you, grabbing your shoulder and pushing into the wall of the arch; by the veil. She held her wand up to your neck and started to push it into your skin. “Love is weakness.” She said whilst glaring at you. “I. Didn’t. Raise. You. To. Be. Weak.” She spat, emphasis on every word. You whimpered as she pushed her wand harder into your neck. “Please stop” You begged. “Please”

Fred watched from the other side of the room. He couldn’t make any comment now without the possibility of you getting killed. He struggled and tried to make his way out of the death eaters arms, but the villain was too strong. Fred watched as you begged you mother for mercy. He watch how your mother dug her wand into your neck: he knew it would become a bruise. “Please mother! Please stop!” He heard you beg. He let out the breath he was holding when your mother said “ok”. But nothing could prepare him for what happened next.

You breathed a sigh of relief when your mother said “ok” but the thing she did next would haunt you. “Crucio!” Your mother hissed. Pain rushed through your body like nothing you had ever felt before. It was like an infinite amount of white hot knives stabbed, scratched and carved at your body, inside and out. It felt like someone was twisting your limbs in ways that were not humanly possible. A blood curdling scream admitted from your mouth. You fell to the floor, your spine no where near the ground as you had arched your back so high to try and stop the pain. In the midst of your screaming you managed to open your eyes to look over at Fred who was struggling to get out of the death eater restraining him. You could fell yourself losing consciousness the longer the torture went on. In a way, you accepted your fate of dying. As long as the last thing you saw was Fred, you could die.

Fred struggled against the death eater, he truly did. But nothing he did could make the death eater even flinch or move a muscle. He closed his eyes as he continued to hear your screams. They held so much pain to them that it was hard to not tear up at the sound. The worst thing was though: it was the fact that your screamed echoed around the room. But then they stopped, every thing fell silent. Fred opened his eyes and saw your figure lying not moving on the floor. It was then a blur from then on. Fred knew that the order had shown up. He knew that the prophecy had been smashed against the floor, but all he could think about was you lying motionless on the floor. He stumbled over to you, dropping to his knees. “Y/n, Y/N!” He whispered shouted like you were asleep. “Y/n.” He cried as he moved some hair out of your face. He felt a small hand being placed on his shoulder, when looking up he found Ginny. “She’s still alive,” Ginny said. “Barely. You need to bring her home and mum can help her.” Fred didn’t need to hear the rest of what his sister was saying as he dashed out of the ministry of magic and apperated straight to the burrow.

It felt weird waking up, your head was dizzy and you couldn’t quite tell where you were. You felt a strong grip on your hand and someone’s light breath on it as well. You opened your eyes but had to shut them immediately after as the light was too bright in the room; though it was nighttime. It took a few attempts of opening your eyes for them to get used to the light. You looked down the the person holding your hand and found your favourite Weasley, half sitting, half lying there. Either way, he was fast asleep. You winced as you brought your other hand up to move some of the hair out of his face. He stirred pretty quickly when you started playing with his hair. “Y/n?” He asked you. You hummed in response, not trusting your voice. “Y/N!” He exclaimed. Rushing up to inspect your face and just you in general. “How long have I been out?” You asked. You voice a lot deeper then it usually would be. “Around a week.” Fred said. You jaw dropped open. To you it had only been a few hours, maybe a day at most but a week?! Now that was news to you. “Are you feeling ok though love? You are looking a bit pale. Should I get mum?” Fred rushed his sentences. You placed your fingers to his lips to shut him up. “I’m fine Freddie. Although could you be a dear and get me a glass of water.” Fred nodded and rushed to the kitchen. You pushed yourself up from your lying position into a seated, up right one. Fred came back into the room with the glass and sat next to you, gently throwing his arm around your shoulder, rubbing his hand up and down your arm in a comforting manner. “I love you” you said quietly, resting your head on his shoulder. “I love you too” Fred replied as he placed a loving kiss to your temple.

Being friends with Molly Weasley was one of the best things that ever happened to you. The women really had a heart of gold and was there for you whenever you need. If you needed a place to sleep, her house was open; need a jumper, a handmade one was be on your doorstep at the crack of dawn the next morning. She really was a sweetheart and too good for this world.

The circumstances under which you and Molly met and became friends was not the best. You were going through and incredibly rough time at home causing you to become very annoyed and angsty. What didn’t help was that you are a werewolf as well. These factors along with many others caused one of the worst full moons you have ever had. You woke up in the middle of a field, covered in bruised scratches and blood. You stumbled onto you feet and registered you surrounding. Upon looking around, you saw a cosy looking house right in front of you, around a 200 metre walk away. Clutching onto your side, you walked towards the house, hoping someone was home.

When you got to the front door, it took all of your energy to knock. A warm voice called, “coming” as you stood on the doorstep. A women opened the door, clothed in an old blouse and skirt and a dirty apron. Her inviting smile she was once wearing dropped as she took in the sight of you: clothes ripped, blood scattered all over you. “Sorry to disturb you, but I was wondering if you had a plaster?” You asked jestering to the massive gash the adorned your right side. “You need more then a bloody plaster dear. Come in, come in!” The women exclaimed. “Arthur make sure the children don’t come anywhere near the kitchen or dining room!” She shouted to a man named Arthur: who you assumed must have been her husband. He man replied with an “of course dear” and the cries of laughter continued from what must have been at least 3 children.

Molly sat you down at her dining room table and grabbed a first aid box. “What happened to you dear?” She questioned concerned whilst checking your wounds. “I’m a werewolf ma’am. I’ve just had a rather tough full moon.” You replied, wincing and she touched a bruise. “Why didn’t you just say so dear, that makes everything a lot easier? I was panicking then” she laughed as she put away her first aid box and grabbed her wand. “Why’s that?” You asked, wincing once again as she muttered spells under her breath. “I though you were a muggle and I would have to do muggle first aid.” She laughed and explained. She then stood up from her hunched over position, “how come you knew that I wasn’t a muggle and that I was a witch?” “I saw the posts and pans cooking themselves from outside, through the window. Also your home just feels magical, it has a warm and inviting aura to it.” Molly just nodded as she moved to clean the rest of your wounds.

“Who even are you dear?” She asked as she was putting some viles away. “Y/n L/n ma’am. Sorry that was rude of me not to introduce myself.” Molly shook her head. “Don’t apologise dear, I would have helped you either way! I’m Molly by the way” You simply hodded your head. The older women opened her mouth to say something when a screaming child came running through the dining room and kitchen. “Mummy, Mummy!” The little boy exclaimed as he ran at Molly. “What is it dear” Molly asked kindly. The little ginger boy, no more then 6 years old took a deep breath in before speaking. “Bill keeps on being really mean to me. He keeps on stealing my toy dragon and hitting me with it. See!” He stop promptly to show a non existent bruise on his arm. “Also daddy keeps on ignoring me. I know he’s busy with Fred and George but still mummy why is he ignoring me. Also why is Percy not playing with me, he just tells me to shut up so he can keep reading even though I should be be the one telling him what to do because I’m twooo years older then him.” The small boy finally stopped talking and held 3 fingers up when he said two. Molly obviously didn’t know what to say as the boy had said so much in so little time. The boy slowly turned around to face you. “Mama, who’s this?” And that is how your 17 year old self became known as Aunt y/n to all of the Weasley kids.

An owl knocked at your window, you instantly recognised it as the Weasley’s owl. You opened the window and the old bird flopped onto your table. He dropped the envelope he was once carrying into the fruit bowl. Shaking you head, you opened the envelope and automatically recognised the handwriting of none other then Molly Weasley. This was a reply from the one you had sent a few days earlier, sharing your good news with your second family.

You were going to be the new astronomy professor at Hogwarts and you couldn’t be more excited, it had been your dream since you got your acceptance letter when you were 11. Fred, George, Ron and Ginny were all still at hogwarts so you knew that you would have a few familiar faces and people to help you as you went along.

You unfolded the piece of parchment and read what Molly had to say.

Congratulations dear! I am so happy for you, I always knew you would achieve your dreams. The children, Arthur and I are so extremely proud of you. In fact, we are hosting a little celebration dinner on Saturday. You should come over and stay the night.

We also will have another Professor with us, Remus Lupin. He’s been a friend of Arthur’s for years. He too is a professor at Hogwarts and this will be his second year.

It’s been a while since we have seen you so come along dear and I promise we will have your favourite for tea.

You shook your head after reading the letter, a faint smile ghosting upon your lips. You ran over to you desk area and grabbed a bit of parchment and a quill from the draw, scribbling down a reply to give back to the old owl. You sighed as you watched the bird fly and head back to the burrow. To be honest you were excited for Saturday: getting to see the family again and find out who this Remus Lupin guy is.

Today could have possibly have been the worst day to trudge down the field to the burrow. The rain was pouring down harder then you have ever seen it before. This of course made everything muddy and slippery. Sure you could have disapperated to the burrow but what was the fun it that. “Ahh typical British summertime” you said to yourself and your boot just sunk into the ground in the mud. Eventually though, you did manage to make it to the ground door. You didn’t even have the chance to knock before Ginny had opened the door and hugged you. “Aunt Y/N!” She exclaimed, obviously very excited to see you. “Blimey Gin you’ve gotten tall” you replied,!still trying to get air back into your lungs from that hug. Like mother like daughter.

You took off your boots and left them by the front door; near the shoe rack. Ginny dragged you into the front room: where everyone seemed to be gathered. “Y/n!” Molly exclaimed as she got up off of the sofa to greet you. She wrapped you up in a hug and handed you a warm drink. You thanked her and sat next to the man who you assumed was Remus. “Y/n, this is Remus. Remus this is y/n.” Arthur introduced the two of you. “It’s lovely to meet you!” Remus said as he shook your hand. “Likewise!”

It turned out that you and Remus had a lot in common, both enjoyed a relaxing Sunday, both enjoyed chocolate and both of you were a werewolf. The two of you talked all throughout the rest of the evening about all sorts of things. Remus was an icredibly intresting person in your opinion. You asked his somethings about teaching and some advice on how you can make it a bit easier on yourself: to which his answer was “Just have fun with it. If you are happy, the students are more likely to be happy.”

When the evening came to an end, you pulled Remus to the side. “Here take this.” You told him whilst passing him a small vile. “It will help with the full moon in a few days.” Remus gratefully accepted the potion. “How can I repay you?” He asked. You brought a finger up to your chin acting like you were thinking about the answer: even though you knew what your reply would be. “How about you take me on a date.” You stated. “Unless you don’t want to...” You shrugged as you spoke. Remus shook his head as soon as the last part of the sentence left your mouth. “I want to.” He said gently. “I’ll pick you up Thursday night at 8.” You nodded as he started to turn his back and walk home. “Oh and y/n?” He spun round. “Wear something fancy” he winked. The breath was knocked out of your lungs. Your face started to burn up as well. You secretly hoped that Remus didn’t notice this; but you were proven wrong when you heard his deep chuckle. Something just get right about you and Remus and now you couldn’t wait for your date.
