Basically Jayden and a few other students had moved from a smaller town and transferred to Skylarâs high school. Skylar was unaware , and quite frankly didnât care , until one of her friends the next morning told her about it ! Skylar learned he was in some of her classes and they started talking as friends.
But to Skylar , something about him was different , and she started to fall in love with him. They got closer , hanging out more , texting , opening up ; but that love started morphing into something deeper , obsession !
The closer they got , the worse she felt , it was overwhelming and scary and she just wanted to get it off her chest , so she confessed on the roof of the school. Jayden would reject her , causing her to lash out at him. They wouldnât talk for almost a month. Skylar was spiraling , hurting herself more than before , getting jealous at whoever he was with , making him the bad guy her head , but still wanting him to come back more than anything.
Soon enough the silence ended , Jayden invited her to prom so they could make up , she agreed. Skylar would go to prom waiting for Jayden to arrive , but when he did , he was pulled away by a girl heâd been friends with. This is the breaking point , Skylar left the school , with Jayden chasing after her. She yelled him , telling him she just wanted one night where no one else was in the way , that he was doing this all to hurt her , and that she hated him.
They both went home , Skylar was breaking down , tearing up her room in anger , hurting herself , going back and forth between feeling guilty for what she had said and blaming him for everything thatâs happened. She couldnât stand this obsession , it was ruining her life. She lost her friends , she had been ruining her body , her mind was full of thoughts she couldnât handle. She sent Jayden a text â Iâm sorry â and ended up stabbing herself. Jayden would arrive at her house a few minutes after , trying to get the bleeding to stop , keeping her awake , and calling for help but it was too late .
