A little feature about the Umbra night, organized by Narocz 13, Dekonstrukt and Chimaeara

Happy to announce my Warsaw debut on April 11th as part of this very unique event dedicated to Umbra a species of flower that only blossoms at night.

𝐃𝐄𝐊𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐊𝐓 𝓍 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐌Æ𝐑𝐀 𝓍 𝐍𝟏𝟑 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓈. 𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐑𝐀

𝐔𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚 — a species of flower which blooms only at night, once every 0̶͓̖̟̺̉̑̅̀0̴͕͉͉̐̆̑̃͆̚0̴̧̠͎̳̯͓̮̟̓́̀̄̃͐̒̕͜͜0̴̠̅̈̑́͝ years. In contrast to her sisters that grown in the sunlight, Umbra gains strength from the underground — feeding on its dark and shadowy frequencies. Her appearance is associated with increased levels of deconstruction, hybrid genre crossovers and a heightened sense of collectivity.

As night falls on the 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 the Umbra flower will blossom once again to spread its sickly sweet fragrance into the darkness. We invite you to dance in the shadows of its petals, unravelled by the frequencies of 3 collectives — Chim.æ.ra, DEKONSTRUKT, N13 and their very special guests.

The artwork for this compilation is an homage to Maria Prymachenko. On February 27, 2022, during the Battle of Ivankiv an approximated 10-25 original works of Prymachenko were destroyed in the Ivankiv Historical and Local History Museum. To express our solidarity, the artwork depicts the creature from Prymachenko’s 1978 painting: “May That Nuclear War Be Cursed!”.
