What I did today

Today I learned about the bezier curve tool in Maya.

I watched the Lord of the Rings movies on New Year's Eve.

You might think that's a bit nerdy.

I'd argue that its just fine. 

I got to chill with a pal of mine from high school and we just watched all 12 hours of the extended editions. It was great. There was popcorn, Gollum impressions, deep discussions about the purpose and futility of hope... 

Hi, I'm a doer.

Well, not really. But I've set a course to do something fun (and probably computer related) every day of the next year. I'm a game design student, so fun is in my very coursework. Despite this, I felt that I keep doing things because they're set out for me, and I can't live with it much longer. 

The stuff I'll be doing will mostly involve nerding out and working with computers. Heck, I'm an art student, so you'll probably see some art from time to time. Basically, I'm just making sure I do something each day I get. 

'Cuz here's a little secret: I'm lazy. 

And laziness has its benefits. I mean, half of our greatest inventions were built out of laziness. Like the beer catapult. 

Ok, maybe not our GREATEST inventions, but laziness drives the urge to invent easier and better ways to produce works of great quality without spend all the time in the world on a single eye.
