As we spend this week being thankful, let us also remember to be mindful. The "Holiday Blues" are kicking in and likely worst than usual with so many restrictions due to the Covid-19 crisis. With so many lives lost this year, there are many people forced to celebrate this year without someone for the first time. As a community we also must keep safe and protect our vulnerable populations. We have all been forced to change our usual habits & traditions. Let's uplift our spirits and help others to do the same.

It is up to us to reduce the spread and keep our family/friends safe.

Right now we are living in uncertainty, sadness and confusion. The best way to endure all of this is to have a positive mindset. What we are experiencing across the country is heartbreaking. There are so many issues we are facing at once. It is quite overwhelming. From racial tension to political nonsense and our daily private lives.....whew. It is so much. I know it can be difficult but it is necessary to use our power of the mind to muscle through the stress, hurt and pain.

Our elderly population is significantly vulnerable to this virus. Healthcare has been challenged with managing this mysterious virus as we ate unfamiliar and still learning how to manage and treat patients. The greatest weapon is to prevent it but it is difficult to fight an invisible and silent enemy. This virus also presents in many ways or even none! Right now nursing homes are losing big time with facility shutdowns and facility outbreaks. As healthcare professionals what are you doing to stay safe and protect your residents?
