Firstly, every illness has its truly awful side, but that doesn’t mean that those awful sides are comparable. Secondly, why make someone who is struggling through something feel guilty about that struggle? In what universe is that acceptable? Finally, the implication that our daily struggles aren’t as bad as someone else’s is dismissing the different experiences patients are going through.
