Yes, it’s very sad about Talia, but we should never, under any circumstances, compare deaths of all things. Death is death. It’s hard, it’s sad, and no one deserves it. No matter if you are a 13 year old girl struggling with cancer or a 31 year old man struggling with addiction.

I am not trying to be rude to you or make you feel bad because that’s not what anyone should be doing right now. I’m just trying to tell you that judging someone on the personal struggles that they’ve been dealing with since they were young, is not right. Cory was trying so hard to get better. He cared, he tried, and he unfortunately did not get the chance to fully recover. Having slip-ups and relapses are all a part of beating addiction, and unfortunately, this slip-up cost Cory his life. We shouldn’t be shaming a person who was really trying. We should be celebrating the fact that he, unlike so many others, did try.
