Growing up, I never really cared much about the valentines I got in school. Because it was standard practice that everyone in the class got a valentine for everyone else, they were pretty meaningless- just a piece of cardboard you got out of obligation. The valentine that mattered was the one that turned up outside of my bedroom door and was signed âa secret admirer.â Sometimes it was in my dadâs handwriting and sometimes it was in my momâs, but it was always there and it was always obvious that it was from them.
Valentineâs Day has never been about romantic love for me. Itâs always been a celebration of all kinds of love, for all of the people you care about.

I just need you to be my date.â She raises a hand at the predictable furrow that forms between his brows, and she can see the tension building within him, the subtle clench of his jaw as he prepares to voice his objections. âPretend to be my date. Itâs not as if the whole town doesnât already think weâre dating anyway.â
The last part is muttered, barely audible, although she knows Adam can hear it, lips pressing into a thin line as he glances away, and isnât that a familiar sight?
Tabitha can count on one hand the number of conversations theyâve had that havenât turned into an argument.
The pale green of his eyes are shadowed as he mulls over the idea, obviously conflicted, before they flick back to where she sits perched against the table in the meeting room, paperwork stacked neatly at her side.
âThis is something that must be done?â
âI have to attend, yes. Itâs either you, or-â she bites her lip, considering her options, before settling on the one choice that may get him to agree. âMason.â
His reaction to that suggestion is immediate: the soft curve of his upper lip twisting down in disapproval, breaking his otherwise perfect facade of collected calm. âIâm certain that there are better choices available.â

This is what I use when I draw UB.
M and N are close in skin tone, but N has much more ashy/grey undertones, where as M has more golden undertones.
