Ice Is Slippery

It took me until my thirties to get into sports because the barrier for entry seemed so huge. Learning the game and the players seemed overwhelming, and when I was younger I didn't want to feel/look stupid. Now I'm watching drafts and I have opinions on the players coming into the league just because I watch hockey at all levels and have learned along the way. Literally, all you have to do is watch and enjoy and Google shit you don't understand and ask questions and you can discover this whole new world that you love and that's amazing.

I am sorry I didn't see this ask until right now! Life has been life-ing extra hard lately. I really was staying positive in the first round, but it was mostly out of spite. This has been my first year moderating the Stars subreddit, and the dooming was so out of control out of game one I decided to be positive put of sheer contrariness. I'm still looking on the bright side - an earlier exit gives our guys more time to rest and heal, something they definitely need after some deep playoff runs.

I would also really like a seaside vacation and a fainting couch right now! The playoffs are feeling less high pressure to me now that Dallas is out, but there is still so much to keep track of. And I also get a little sad when playoffs arrive because it means the season is almost over. It's alway more of an emotional roller coaster than I've been planning for.
