i've been given too much responsibility lowkey, idk what to post on tumblr for this event so here's my super professional sales pitch! Have you ever really wanted to be part of a writing community? Maybe you want to join a fun writing event that'll help you write consistently for a month in the summer and the winter? Well look no further, sign up for SOS! It'll have you calling out for help! (hence the sos.. get it..)

it's ACTUALLY called SOS because it's name is Scriptures of the Solstice and it's a prompt based, team based writing event that's hosted twice yearly (based upon the winter and the summer solstice) through our discord server. It runs over the course of a month and you get to earn points for your team (so the pressure isn't all on you!)

Also! It's a multifandom event, so anybody could join! Do you write for My Little Pony? Maybe you like to write for Heated Rivalry or 9-1-1 (yes I'm calling myself out with those two, shhh). Maybe you write original work. Maybe you write Spongebob. Who knows? Not me! But I do know that no matter what fandom you're in, you CAN join this event. The event starts in June but prompts will be released on May 1st, so join beforehand so you can get a head start on writing your works! Sign ups are open RIGHT now, so head on over to our discord server and sign up. It's a very low stakes event, which means that even if you sign up, you are NOT obligated to participate if something comes up or if you just aren't feeling that motivation. But you CAN'T participate at all if you don't sign up. So don't hesitate, sign up today!! It's super fun I promise. Also if you're on my team, I can promise you'll win dw. I'm like super good at this event.

We're currently running a poll in our discord server for which four dialogue prompts should be part of the 2026 Summer Solstice event. There's two days left on the poll in the discord server, so I decided I'd come to tumblr to see what you guys think :O

In this event, players will be assigned a giftee. Your goal is to create a piece of fanwork for them, based on the list of their interests the mods will provide you. Upon completion, gifts will be anonymously sent out. As a gifter, you have the choice to remain anonymous or reveal your identity after gifts have been sent. You may NOT use generative AI for anything involving this event, doing so will result in you being blocked and blacklisted from future events.

WRITERS create a gift of a minimum 1000 words. ARTISTS create a gift of minimum one artwork, with a background. You're more than welcome to go above and beyond if you should so wish.

February 2026 has been the roughest month in recent memory: an ice storm gripped my region in late January, leaving my household and many others without electricity, heat, or internet for well over a week. The cold was bitter and debilitating.

Days later, a burst pipe flooded my home and caused enormous property damage. I've had to find new living arrangements on the fly, and also replace many of my possessions that were destroyed.

Despite the struggle, I feel so supported by both irl friends and by my online community. Writing this story has brought me comfort and distraction during a very difficult period. Thank you all, truly.
