I TRULY would support Buck and Eddie with other people… if it actually made sense! I LIKED Eddie and Ana together and was really surprised when Eddie started freaking out about her but I thought, ok this is happening for a reason, let’s see what the better option is! So HOW are they gonna have Bobby tell Eddie about how he and Athena found each other in a way that perfectly mirrors so many moments Eddie and Buck have had… to then have Eddie pair up with some random girl from a call. (After he JUST told Buck that doesn’t work. Was that convo actually supposed to show us that Eddie is wrong all the time??) I would have even preferred if she was someone we’d literally never seen before. But at the very LEAST they could have had a more meaningful moment. Or had Felisa the actress come back! She would have made way more sense like I was honestly surprised nothing came of them after her ep! And HOW are they gonna have Buck say Natalia Sees him but then not show us that at all? (And what are we supposed to do with that Look that Eddie gave him when he said that??) Like at least SHOW us more of their conversations, her actually understanding things about Buck that resonate with him. Him joking about his death but also talking about it in a serious way, like a combo of how he talked about it with two of the people he cares about the most: Eddie and Maddie. Just SOMETHING to show us more of a bond, more of a reason why these women are Right for them.

But DOES Eddie actually not remember what happened after the shooting? Because Chimney said the same thing for a while until he finally confessed to Bobby that he was lying. And Eddie, if he admits that he remembers the shooting, he has to admit that he remembers bleeding out while reaching for Buck. He has to admit he remembers Buck risking everything to save him (including risking Christopher losing BOTH of his dads). He has to admit that when they were in the fire truck, he looked at Buck covered in blood and asked him if HE was hurt.

I don’t understand why some people are upset about Buck’s couch potentially being ruined by Kameron’s water breaking? Who cares how it gets ruined?? If anything, Kameron ruining it should be a very clear indication that they’re not gonna do anything weird with her and Buck (which would obviously be unhinged). The point is that Buck needs to choose his next couch HIMSELF.

The last time Eddie said he was looking for a sign, Shannon told him she thought she was pregnant again, which he obviously took to mean they should be together. Then she told him she was only late and they should divorce. And then she died.

Eddie looking for what he had with Shannon because at the end of the day she gave him Christopher. So even though it was one disaster after another with them, he thinks that’s what he needs to look for again since the best thing in his life came from the two of them being together.

Ok but what if Buck and Eddie are together when disaster strikes, and there’s a moment when Buck would be safe, but instead he dives after Eddie, which gets them trapped together, mirroring that first call where Buck volunteered to stay with Eddie while he removed the grenade from that guys leg.

WAIT. On a fourth rewatch of the cemetery scene, I had a revelation. Buck says Natalia sees more of him than he maybe even sees of himself. We obviously didn’t see any hint of that in their scenes together and Buck has become pretty damn introspective BUT what is he’s still right? She DID see something he doesn’t see, specifically because she doesn’t really know him yet.

Ok. So after this ep, if Buddie really doesn’t happen then I truly don’t know what’s going on and I will have to conclude that there’s no actual plan and the writers are just doing whatever they want like in the most recent Star Wars trilogy.
