Pro Tip - Never drop the word wedding while planning if you don’t need to. Most things can be for “an event you’re planning.” This obviously doesn’t include things like the venue, DJ (who needs specific wedding songs), and the wedding dress company if you’re going that route versus just buying a dress.

For my wedding I got “discounted” cupcakes, flowers, decor, bridesmaids dresses, groomsman attire, and invitations. I did this by either searching for things that aren’t marketed for weddings or not telling the companies I was working with it was for a wedding. Because honestly, most of the time they don’t need to know why you’re ordering.

These companies target people planning their weddings and markup everything the second “wedding” is said. And it’s said often because people assume the services change exponentially for weddings. They absolutely do not. 

The best example are the cupcakes I had for my wedding. I used a designer cupcake store in town instead of spending $1000 on a wedding cake. If you place a large order of cupcakes with a cake tree for display - it costs about $150 for 100 (which is what I did). When you order their “wedding” package - the price raised to a $700 base for 100 cupcakes. The only other perk includes a “tasting.” Forget that. Our tasting was buying a few cupcakes in flavors we thought we’d like and picked three. It cost maybe $20. 

What these companies do is scummy and targets people who don’t have information about the event industry.

I’m sorry we all looked up to someone who has been outed as a shitty excuse for a human.

You cannot keep defending Seungri, you cannot keep apologising for his actions.

If you keep doing this, you are supporting the patriarchy that was built to destroy women.

Look okay I get that the Kpop world is a little fantasy world where we pretend like everything and everyone is perfect and they can do no wrong, but that is in fact a lie. From cultural appropriation (not talking about hairstyles) to just pure racist remarks to suicide to prostitution to drugs to abuse, it’s all there. Don’t be blinded by your oppa or unnie’s looks to see that they can be really shitty people.

This whole Seungri thing is one of many and if you still choose to support someone like that, then fuck you. He was really out here hurting people but some of y’all won’t keep your heads out of his ass long enough to see that.

1. Yes, Seungri is innocent until proven guilty, but we will not say that the evidence is pretty damaging. With text, apparent videos, and other celebrities involvement, we all know when there is smoke there is fire. So to pretend he’s Jesus being nailed to the cross is unlikely because too much of this leads to the commonality of Seungri. Also, this is not just something that started a year ago, the proof goes back as far as 2013.

2. To blame these women is beyond me. I do not understand anyone who blames any woman on those videos when they were victimized and filmed without consent. They had no clue that this would be shared and most likely did not want to be monopolized by these men. Also, do not pretend that men of power do not have authority of these women. Maybe he didn’t threaten them, but with power comes a fear that could easily influence women to do exactly what you want. Do not make them seem as if they were happy hookers or some shit.

3. Finally, the audacity of people to say “remember what happened to Jonghyun” is fucking disrespectful. Jonghyun was not a criminal nor accused of anything during his time of death, and his mental health did not make him do anything illegal. Seungri, however, put himself in these position and needs to deal with the consequences. He did this to himself, he’s not the victim, and to compare his situation to a man who literally never did anything wrong is beyond me. Jonghyun battled himself, Seungri battled the law. Don’t ever make it seem like Jonghyun’s suicide could happen to Seungri when the commonality is not the same.

As a VIP, I understand the disappointment, confusion, and anger. However, holding Seungri’s hand is not helping, but is enabling him to engage in horrible or risky behavior that is bringing harm to women. Being a member of the worlds best K-Pop group brings not only power, but all that comes with it, and he should understand whether he’s guilty or not, he should have not even put himself in a situation to risk himself and the women around him. 

This grown-man doesn’t respect women, you think he’ll respect the same young girls who would happily jump a gun for him? No. He’d use it to his advantage because that’s what abusers do.
