anyway some thoughts i have on everything

i don't really wanna talk too much about von but fuck her. her treatment of the vas was so unbelievable and disgusting. and the use of ai was so disappointing.

support the voice actors!! i've been listening to rest of blue on felix wiscan's youtube channel and they're all so amazing.

i finished chapter 3 and i wanna say... im kinda glad it got cancelled. because it really just goes off the rails here. I really liked the first couple days of daily life. Yaitabashi and ikeda bonding over him teaching ikeda to use kitchen appliances was really cute. The moments between kumada and yaitabashi were really good. But the motive is really bad and not interesting at all. I was liking blue's theme of the motives testing their relationships rather than being physical punishments.

ikeda killing yaitabashi also felt really random and out of character? like aside from him being physically unable to do all that, i also just think that ikeda wouldn't kill anyone. it's a part of his character that he's all bark and no bite. the reveal in the trial was really chilling bc of the voice acting but i just really didn't like it story wise.

shishikura killing also didn't make sense to me?? when he was one of the people along with tei and hirose to be so against voting ikeda multiple times during the voter game. he's got a strong sense of morals so it doesn't make sense for him to kill. him killing kumada in particular pissed me off also bc she had just found and given him his meds back and he repaid that kindness by stabbing her.

I liked seeing monomoko break down after the execution but that felt more like it should be a chapter 5 thing? and I didn't cry at tei crying at the end of the trial but I did actually cry at monomokos last words to ikeda before his execution. when she said "beyond your many years spent unseen and unheard," i got so so upset because it really hammered in how anti-recovery tetro blue is. ikeda just spends his entire life being abused and then when he finally gets away for a bit and maybe starts recovering a tiny bit with tei's help, all his progress gets stripped away by that dumb ass shock therapy punishment and then he dies. it just pisses me off and upsets me so much.

anyway im still listening to the rest bc im curious about how much more off the rails its gets later. im about halfway into day 27 of chapter 4 rn and i don't have too much to say. i like a lot of the character interactions and i actually like getting to see a bit more isoda. i really like maekawa's morning tonight show in the morning eps featuring other characters bc it's essentially the guest saying a bunch of insane, traumatic shit and maekawa and shishikura sitting there like "wtf dude that's not ok"
