The First Alpha

It was by the dawn of the 9th century that Alphonse and his family, along with eleven other families, formed what had became known as The High Wolf Council. Members of the High Wolf Council once included Crescent Wolf Clan.

"Is there something I can help you with, young one?" Alphonse asked of the young venatrix before him. 

Alphonse watched the young woman curiously. She was a descendant -- and all of his descendants were welcome. "Do not be shy, my child. Please... step forward."

Alphonse took in a deep breath of air as he focused upon the young woman before him. Her scent -- it was unique. It was a mixture of many things: there was a hint of his descendants, which was mixed with a touch of "the cold ones" -- the vampires, but there was also spellcaster mixed in as well. A hybrid she was. How interesting. "Hello to you, child."

Alphonse eyed the young wolf who stood before him. He raised a brow as evaluated him. "What is your name, boy?"

Alphonse eyed the woman before him cautiously. The wolf did not have problems with people, no matter what species they are. But witches -- relatives of the shamans... he was cautious of them. It was a shaman after all who had made him what he was. "What brings you to me on this night, spellcaster?"

The First Alpha gave the young woman a welcoming smile. "Greetings, child." 

Alphonse turned his head to source of the faint footsteps he had been hearing for the past ten minutes. He took in the sight of the young woman and he had recognized her -- granted it had been years since she had last seen her. "Look who it is," He spoke, smiling softly. "If it isn't little Andrea Labonair... all grown up." He turned toward her fully, watching her. "And here I thought Marcel had vanquished you all," He presumed. He was glad that was not the case.

Compared to their modern day descendants, the Original Werewolves are more reasonable and civilized. They even appear to be benevolent, a trait not known to be among their descendants.

The Original Werewolves are not that different than their descendants. They exhibit most of the same abilities. But unlike their descendants, the Original Werewolves are able to shift at will, and do not need to wait until a full moon. The alpha also has the ability to force a werewolf to change against their will with merely their voice.

The ancient alpha looked over to the original vampress. For all of these centuries, he had thought that he would never encounter Mikael's offspring. He had the pleasure of meeting the original vampire vampire hunter during his obsessive mission to find his children. He had known of the children, but he had never met any of them himself -- not until now. "You must be Rebekah." It was a statement, not an assumption. 

It goes back to the 8th Millennium B.C. In 7959 B.C. Alphonse -- who had been hunting for his family -- went into a fit of rage and killed his hunting partner and his prized wolf. His hunting partner was the husband of his tribe's shaman. When the shaman had received word that her husband had been killed, the shaman abandoned her oath to help and went out for revenge. seeking Alphonse and his family. When she found the man, she placed a curse upon him and his family -- they were to live the life of the animal he had slaughtered in vain. Moonlight would be their enemy -- changing them into the very creature he murdered, and their descendants would suffer for as long as their bloodline ran. And that... is the true beginning of the werewolf.

"Alphonse" is not the alpha's true name. It is the name he has gone by since the invention of the modern languages. His original name is unpronounceable within any of the modern languages.
