you know dallas. don’t pretend like you don’t. it’s real hot, it’s real big and it’s real rich. they play football, they drink whiskey and their cheerleaders are some of the best on the whole planet. but behind the big hair and the daisy dukes, their lives are just as debauched and their business is just as dirty. that much money always attracts trouble and when there’s oil involved, everyone’s ugly faces come out. but when they make it look so great, it’s hard to tell the bad from the good. in a place this large, you’d think everyone would live pretty separate lives. but nothing could be further from the truth. everyone’s up in each other’s business, and gossip spreads like wildfire. and then there’s hastings, a small texas town twenty minutes drive from dallas. small and shiny and stepford with cowboy boots, it’s where the little girls of dallas imagine their white picket dream. and it’s where some of the richest people in the state live, so be careful what you say and to whom. try not to get caught in between the beauty queens and the cheerleaders, the rivalry is fierce. and the oil boys don’t play fair either. so don’t be drawn in by the friendly ‘y’alls’ and the seemingly unwavering loyalty between families, because it’s those closest to you that know how to truly bring you down. remember, the friend with his arm around your shoulder can just as easily slide a knife into your back.
