Ya Rabb, I have no words to explain these moments of grief. Even though I know with certainty that ease will follow, it's hard to imagine how this pain would disappear. Like a seed that is slowly embedding it's roots, there's a heaviness setting in my soul. You are the only One I can express my sorrows to. You are the only One who knows the whispers of my heart. Sometimes, even I can't fathom these thoughts but knowing that You understand them gives me comfort. Allah, I know this is a test for me like all the tests before. I acknowledge that the power to overcome this test isn't within me. It is from You that I seek strength to get up again. Worries have overwhelmed me. Fears have crippled me. But knowing that You are in control of my affairs makes tomorrow less daunting. So on this cold and lonely day, I ask You for one thing and one thing only. Nearness to you. I've tasted the Dunya and it is nothing but a mirage. It is only with You that my heart finds ease. ~BelongingInTheVoid
