Still ruminating at night...
One of the most common mistakes we make as women is that we take everything on ourselves and then refuse to ask for help. But then we start to grow resentment inside, towards the people around us.
This pattern is toxic to our health and to our relationships. We need to be direct and ask for help when we need it. This doesn't diminish from you as a person, a wife, a mother, a career woman, or anything else. It will actually strengthen you and strengthen your relationships. The people around you don't always know how to help. Or what you need. Many of them want to be there for you, but simply don't know how. And they end up feeling unappreciated and defensive when your resentment comes out. But the problem is you aren't asking for help or letting others know you need. So it becomes a vicious cycle.
