Not what you expect to see on the kitchen floor when you wake up. No idea how it got there!

Spent the last two weeks rebuilding Marcus and Sarah's new cabin. Ended up completely ripping down the old and and starting from scratch again. Got loads done in the 10 days we were up there, an almost waterproof shell and all the internal walls. Went for a major rearrange that left a much much better space, ended up with the spare bedroom as a little lean to type structure in the middle of the open plan kitchen and living room. The ceilings are being left vaulted and is a beam across the centre so they can down do aerial stuff hanging from it. The whole thing is clad in larch and looks blooming great. Still a long way to go but it's back is now broken!

Testing testing 123

Have been building our cot on and off for the last little while. Just got it standing upright. Still the bed frame and all of the finishing to do but am getting there. Really pleased with how the design has worked out. Was worried it was going to look really heavy for a little while but I don't think it does not its assembled. All made from white oak with a 3 degree slope on most things. (Bit hard to see in the photos)

Been working on the attic at home for the last while and pleased to say that she is very nearly done. Knocked down the two rooms to make one huge one. Has meant moving radiators and lights but totally worth it. Have gone to town with OSB cause it's cheap and lovely looking. OSB floor, wall of cupboards, a wall and a desk. A sofa bed under the Velux and we are rigged. I can't wait for train sets up here!

New clippers means I have got rid of the beard! Ready for spring!

Guess what?!?!?!?

Top tip!

Went to help Alex and his band record a music video. We coined it ghetto bullet time. Were a load of us stood in a circle around them playing a song with us each recording a video. Alex was then going to edit them to loop around them playing. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Workshop is coming along. Got the table saw assembled, electrics sorted, all the machines are in. Also managed to get most of the ducting in. Getting close to being able to use it all. A long but totally excellent week!

Managed to fire a piece of metal into my eye from angle grinding while sorting out the ducting for the workshop. Turns out I am awful at having people touch my eye. Trip to the hospital, some local anaesthetic and a bit of digging with a needle later and all sorted. Oops.

So we are in! Spent the last two days putting up stud wall to divide off our section of the unit. It feels bloody massive but super duper exciting. Going to start setting up machines and extraction after we get all of the electrics sorted. Then comes all of the good bits making the space ours. I can't wait!
