I just cannot get over the complete lack of self awareness over how this storyline is attempting to illustrate the importance of the police and the badge. like, I'm not sugar coating this. they're doing blue lives matter using a black actor and an indigenous actress. I sincerely hope this is going to go in a better direction because right now this is HORRIFYING.

Big fan of the whole “consume content critically” mindset so I would like to critically comment on the content I just consumed that having a white female character who caused both physically and psychological harm to many characters, specifically characters of color, finally accepting that they should be held accountable the slightest bit for their actions after all other characters, including, specifically, those same character of color she INFLICTED HARM ON, spent the entire episode/SHOW hiding her, defending her, and reassuring her that she needn’t face consequences is not “not enough” but ACTIVELY HARMFUL

It’s so fucking horrifying that this show is using a white woman being calmly arrested for terrible crimes (many of which were committed against characters of color) to have a discussion on the corrupt justice system and to attempt to mirror the awful injustices perpetuated by the justice system against innocent Black and Brown people. It’s appalling. It is so fucking appalling what this show is doing right now.
