You Deserve More By Benjamin Sky - 6/16/2015 I see you. I see you head over heels in love with a man who is only willing to give you a few hours a week. I see your your excitement when he allows you to have have a few minutes of his precious time. You are walking on cloud nine. He fills you up telling you how much he cares about you. He tells you how he wants you to live your life and you are willing to try to change your personality simply because he convinces you that you are flawed. As long as you are his good girl, he gives you an allowance of his precious time. I see you becoming entrapped in the need for his approval in everthing that you do. After all, his approval means you get to spend time with him. The problem is that you love him. And you think he might love you even though he has not said this. He is always careful with his words. Careful to make you think there is hope without confessing love. Deep inside, you know he does not love you though. You know he has other women the he sees. He tells you that these other women need him but you are the one that gets the most from him. He gives you his deep emotional thoughts. Thoughts that he gives no one else. You casually throw in a "I love you" in your conversations once in a while hoping to get one returned. This never happens. Inevitably, as happens with love, you yearn to be with him more and more. But when you express this, you are scolded for being too needy. This need is punished every time by him withholding his time from you. You are his special one. The one who gets more of him than anyone else. And yet now he is completely ignoring you to teach you to ignore love? After you have realized how wrong you are for wanting more of him, he allows you to have rations of his time again. Maybe he rewards you by giving you a little more of his time.
