the world is an incredibly dull place. there is, of course, a lot of positivity in it, there is no doubt in that. we have the smartest technology, which allows us to cure deceases in the most effective way and to stay in touch with our dearest even when we’re thousands miles away from each other. charity organizations open every year, allowing the more fortunate to help the less fortunate, like children in Africa who struggle to have clean drinking water every day and live in an extreme poverty. young kids who grow up realizing they have strong passions towards arts, sports, economics, engineering, etc. start to get more support from their parents, who help them to achieve their goals and to become successful. those and many more great things are currently happening around the world, which not only inspires and encourages people to participate more but also helps the world to move forward. but at times it seems that there are much more unsolved problems related to all spheres of our day-to-day life, whether it is on a smaller or larger scale. it seems that with the new advanced technology, there are more people who are either not able to afford it, or too remote to access it and get cured. that while social networks allow us to communicate with our friends and families, a lot of the people who grow up in the «internet age» seem to have a problem with real life communication and get stuck in the virtual reality and create walls around themselves, just to make others think they’re alright while being depressed and anxious. it seems that our current state of mind pushes us more towards advertising charity organizations than actually doing something towards helping those in need. it seems that there is still such a lack of open-mindedness within the older generation, that a lot of the talents who could make this world a better place, get lost in the sea of misunderstanding and unsupportive attitudes. moreover, the lack of intelligence and just a simple and pure sense of accepting each other for who we are, pushes people towards bombing, cutting, torturing, drowning and, finally, killing each other. it seems that politics who try to show they truly care but in reality are only concerned with their personal benefit, are so selfish and so heartless that they prefer to first start a war, which can take lives of millions of people before they can just simply sit down and discuss how to end it. this is what «dull» means. and while such globally important events happen in front of us, and while we try to seem like we care by posting inspirational quotes and pictures in our Instagrams, we are so obsessed with those exact quotes and pictures getting more likes and shares, that not getting enough makes us depressed and lowers our self-esteem. makes us forget what actually matters in this world. confuses us. we, people, with all of our hope and kindness, don’t seem to be reasonable enough to stop hating each other because of our skin color, our religion and our opinion, which may very well be the reason of why our future looks nothing but doomed.
