Me, Myself, And I

Have you ever noticed often times when your friends and family talk about their partners or significant others and and how they feel as if they’re not being appreciated or how their parents are leaving them on open, being disrespectful, acting untrustworthy. The first thing many of us do is say “well leave” or “they’re not good enough for you” or “don’t let them treat you that way.” Although when roles are reversed and its us in the situation where people are texting us when then want, not showing us love and appreciation, or simply just not meeting our expectations we stick around. We make excuses for them, we give them chance after chance after chance. Which ultimately means that in a way we care about our friends more than we do ourselves. There’s nothing wrong with loving and supporting a friend but there is something wrong about with not giving yourself the same amount of love and continuous support. The next time you find yourself in a situation where you’re questioning someone’s intentions with you ask yourself what you would tell a friend!

Be so rooted in your being that nobody’s absence or presence can disturb your peace.
