Yes, I finally got myself a tattoo. A little clique to say this, but I’ve dreamt of this day forever. Since secondary, I’ve always drawn a lot of symbols and contemplated with a lot of different designs and only 3 remains of these wild fantasies . My drawing ideas usually stem from the games that I played, and honestly speaking, this one that I inked on myself is the latest drawing out of the 3 . The idea for this one started with the word, “connectivity”. It starts from one point and without stopping ends at another. Really can’t remember how I even started with this design but it’s stuck with me for a couple of years since it’s inception . Being the simplest of the 3 designs, I decided to start with this. I really don’t want to regret my life’s choices and y’know, it’s permanent . My first consideration was the location to place this. It’s a very simple design and I don’t want it on my hands (work life and I hate office wear). In the end, I decided to have it on my left inner shin because of a past sports injury, which kinda made this “connectivity” makes sense. There’s a disconnect with my shin and the rest of my body and thus this tattoo is kinda like a key to connect them (fucking childish I know) . The next was the artist. I don’t want to find an artist that will kinda screw up the entire back story of this. Most artist are really artistic and will often add their own imaginations into the tattoo. Idm an artist’s touch to it, but I also don’t want it to change too much until the meaning of it (to me at least) changes. So I’m glad I managed to find one (thank you Google) . At first I was really scared because as you can see, my drawing sucks. I’m really afraid that it’ll look damn ugly. But she (the artist) managed to touch it up real clean and the line work are awesome af. I remember thinking “Holy shit! I can live with this!”, and as they say, the rest is history. All in all, really thankful for everything that’s led up to this . Do check her out if y’all also deciding on a tattoo. She might just be the artist you need 👍 Time for me to plan for my next one 😏 .
