Plant bulbs to form your sacred circle; why didn’t I think of that :p
Self-Love / Aphrodite Devotion Ritual Bath
Hey Moon Babies. So before I add this into my Grimoire I wanted to share this Bath Ritual with you, one that I’ve done many times, and is super great for a self-love pick me up or if you want to honour/devote yourself to Aphrodite.
You Will Need:
White Candles
Fresh Rose Petals ( Pink for Love, Red for Passion, White for Purity ). This is dependant on what you have on hand and what you feel like adding.
Rose Quartz
Lavender Essential Oil ( Vanilla is another good oil to add too ).
Coconut Oil
Almond Oil
Honey ( Offering to Aphrodite )
Moon Water ( Not compulsory but this will give your bath an extra oomph )
What To Do:
Run a bath.
Decorate around your tub with as many white candles, and rose quartz as possible.
Once the bath is finished running, add a few drops of essential oil, a few drops of almond oil, and a teaspoon of coconut oil and honey. Add a small cup of moon water. Mix the ingredients well.
Sprinkle in rose petals.
When in the bath and once relaxed, ask your mermaid brothers/sisters for guidance in your journey of self-love, peace and acceptance. Devote your body to Aphrodite.
When you’re finished and ready to come out of the bath, thank Aphrodite and the mermaids for their guidance.
Drain bath. ( I would recommend cleansing and re-using the rose petals for a glamour spell or something of your choice )
Enjoy!!
Please do not remove credit.

💫Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 💫
(I didn't write this myself, I found it online and tweaked it to my preference!)
The Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse arrives November 30, 2020 and will open a portal of transformation.
This portal we are waking will help us to shed and release all that is no longer aligned with who we are today. It will allow us to empty any baggage that feels heavy or burdensome and to free ourselves from all that has served its time.
As the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse falls in the sign of the Gemini twins, we may feel a sense of needing to balance both our physical body and our spirit body.
There is also strong Goddess energy around this Eclipse, so step into this power, tend to your own inner flame, but also find the sweetness and nourishment that life has to offer.
Gemini Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Ritual November 2020
This ritual is best done from November 27- December 10, 2020
You will need:
Cleansing tool of choice (eg. dried herb bundles, oils, incense, etc.)
A Guided Meditation (you may use whatever you want but I'm posting the one I'm using below!)
3 Sheets of Paper and pen
3 Candles
String
Scissors
Chocolate or another sweet treat of your choice
Oracle or Tarot deck for a reading (optional)
Instructions:
1.) Have all your ingredients nearby. If you like, you can also have a blanket and pillow for comfort during your meditation.
2.) Start this ritual by shaking out or lightly jumping up and down to get the blood flowing. Feel free to stretch in any way that feels good. When you are done, take your cleansing tool of choice and begin using it around your aura.
As you cleanse, feel free to recite the following –
“On this night, I welcome the magical lunar energies. May they wash away any stagnancy, any negativity, and any energy that keeps me trapped in my own self-limiting beliefs. Wooosh my aura is cleansed. Wooosh my aura is recharged. I feel vitality flowing through me now. The magic within me has now been awakened. I am whole. I am light. I am free to be me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
Next, cleanse your surroundings. As you cleanse, feel free to recite the following
“This space is now bathed in a healing, protective white light. This light lifts any dense energies that may be lingering in this space. This light energy allows me to connect to my higher self and my inner goddess. My space is cleansed. My space is renewed. I am safe. I am protected. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
2.) Get nice and comfortable and begin with your meditation.
3.) After completing your meditation, feel free to write down any thoughts or feelings that came up.
4.) Next, take your 3 candles and place them in a row. The candle to your left will represent the past. The candle in the center represents the present, and the last candle represents the future. Tie your string around each candle so they are linked. Light your candles.
(If you cannot tie the string around your candles, feel free to have the string laid out flat either underneath or in front of the candles- this works too!)
5.) Take your first sheet of paper and write down something from your past that you would like closure on. It can also be something you wish to complete and let go of from your life. Once done, fold up your paper and place it in front of your first candle.
6.) Take your second sheet of paper and write down how you are feeling in this present moment. Once done, fold up the paper and place it in front of your second candle.
7.) Finally, take your third sheet of paper and imagine that your future self is offering advice to your present and past selves. What advice or wisdom would your future self share? Trust your intution, if it helps, use your imagination first as this will help you get confident in allowing your intuition to shine through. Once done, fold up the paper and place it in front of your last candle.
8.) Now place your hand over your heart and take 5 deep breaths just to bring yourself into a place of stillness.
9.) Have your scissors nearby. Gently place your hand on your first piece of paper and then bring your hand up to your heart. With your hand over your heart recite the following-
“I ask the Universe, my angels, and my guides to guide me to release and find closure from (insert here). I now feel this situation leaving my energetic space, leaving my mental space, leaving my physical space, and returning to the ethers for transformation. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
Now take your scissors and snip the string between the first and second candle as a symbolism of release.
10.) Now, touch your hand to the second piece of paper and then touch your heart. With your hand on your heart recite the following-
“I honor how I feel in this present moment and I decide to fully and wholly love myself, honor myself, and cherish myself no matter what is unfolding in this present moment. I love you.”
Now take your scissors and snip the string between the second and third candle as a symbol of release.
11.) Now, touch your hand to the third piece of paper and then touch your heart. With your hand on your heart, recite the following –
“I know I am protected. I know I am guided. I know whatever my journey, I will come out the other side, stronger, more courageous, and authentically me.”
12.) Take your chocolate or other sweet treat and holding it with both hands charge it up with loving and grateful energy. Eat it and savor the sweetness. This symbolizes the sweetness of life entering the body.
13.) If using, now do your reading.
14.) To close the ritual, discard all the papers (you can burn them if you wish) and snuff out the candles. Take your string and be sure to discard that too.
Happy Lunar Eclipse!

10 Magic Herbs You Can Find at the Grocery Store
When you’re first getting started with witchcraft or another magical practice, it can be easy to get caught up in all of the material stuff involved. Witchy hashtags on social media are filled with pictures of huge sparkly crystals, gorgeous handmade ritual tools, and beautifully elaborate altars. Many spells in books or online call for a long list of herbs, some of which are expensive or hard to come by. For baby witches, it’s easy to feel like you can never be a “real” witch unless you have money for these expensive tools and toys.
This is not true. As we’ve talked about in previous chapters of this series, you don’t need any tools or material components to cast a spell — however, harnessing the energy of plants, crystals, and imagery can be a helpful way to add energy to your work. This doesn’t mean you need to spend a lot of money. In fact, many of the most powerful and useful magical tools can be found on the spice aisle in your local supermarket, or even at the dollar store.
For example:
Salt. Salt is a witch’s best friend. It can be used for cleansing, banishing, protection, grounding, or to neutralize energy. Surrounding something with a circle of salt will protect it [Note: do NOT make salt circles outside, as salt will kill plant life!], and washing something with salt water will cleanse its energy. I often include salt in any spell that I feel needs an extra layer of protection.
Sugar. Just as salt banishes unwanted energy, sugar attracts the things you want into your life. Sugar can be used for any and all attraction spells, whether you’re looking to attract love, money, success, or something else. It can also be used to “sweeten” a situation, or make it more favorable.
Cinnamon. There’s pretty much no positive spell that doesn’t benefit from cinnamon. Cinnamon has associations with healing, love, success, and material wealth, but is also strongly associated with protection. I love burning cinnamon as incense — it fills the whole room with warm, cozy energy.
Cayenne. Cayenne is often used for banishing or binding spells, but a lesser known use is for getting things moving. Cayenne is a very fiery plant, so any spell dealing with passion, motivation, or drive can benefit from its inclusion. Cayenne can be used to “light a fire” under someone to motivate them to action. However, cayenne is a more harsh energy, so I often pair it with lavender or another soothing herb.
Coffee. I most often use coffee for grounding or to anchor things to the physical world. For example, I might include it in a prosperity spell to make sure the results manifest in my everyday life. Coffee is also energizing and brings mental clarity, and can enhance psychic abilities. Brewed coffee is also used in some traditions as an offering for spirits.
Bay leaves (Bay Laurel). Bay leaves are one of the most popular spell components because of their association with granting wishes. You’ve probably heard of the practice of writing a wish on a bay leaf and burning it to manifest your desire. I often include bay leaves in manifestation magic for this reason. Bay leaves can also be used for purification, cleansing, and exorcism.
Ginger. Ginger adds power to any spell it is included in. Ginger tea or gingery food can also give you a personal energy boost. I add ginger to any spell that needs some extra “oomph.” It is also associated with success.
Basil. Basil is very commonly used in money spells. Carrying a basil leaf on your person is believed to attract wealth. It also has associations with protection.
Peppermint. Peppermint is another herb that can add power to virtually any spell. It can bring healing and purification, can remove obstacles and free up stuck energy, and can enhance psychic abilities. Peppermint is a common ingredient in dream pillows. You can find peppermint tea at virtually any grocery store, and many stores also carry the essential oil.
Lavender. Lavender is my favorite herb for bringing peace to a situation. It’s very good for healing magic and for soothing difficult emotions. Lavender is also associated with love, and I especially like to use it in spells for self love. Most stores carry lavender essential oil, and you can also find herbal teas that include it as an ingredient.
With the above herbs at your side, you’ll have everything you need to cast virtually any type of spell. Honestly, even if you just have salt, sugar, and maybe some white candles, you can create powerful spells for dozens of different intentions, from protection to self love to getting a job. Remember, what matters isn’t so much what you have — it’s your intention.
These are also edible, so they can be incorporated into magical recipes for different intentions. In fact, most of the ingredients you cook with every day have magical associations and can do double duty as powerful additions to your spells. For more information about the magical uses of common household herbs and spices, I highly recommend the book A Green Witch’s Cupboard by Deborah J. Martin, which is where most of the info for this post came from.
Other useful magical items that you can pick up at the grocery store include:
Olive oil. Olive oil can be used as an all-purpose anointing oil for candles, ritual tools, or your body. It can also be used to dilute essential oil, or as a base for custom magical oils.
Tealight candles. These small candles are perfect for candle spells. White tealights can be used for any intention.
House plants. Many common houseplants have magical associations. For example, aloe brings protection and healing. You can also grow some witchy herbs, like peppermint or rosemary, indoors.
Epsom salt. Epsom salt is a great base for bath spells. You can add essential oils and herbs to make custom bath salts — just be sure to research oils and herbs ahead of time, as some can cause skin irritation. [Note: Epsom salt is not actually salt, and cannot be substituted for salt in spells.]
Notebooks. Writing things down is an important part of witchcraft. Keeping a record of your spells, divination, and magical experiences makes it easier to keep track of everything.
Again, I want to stress that you don’t need a specific set of tools to be a witch. In fact, you can do highly effective magic without ever working with herbs at all. But if you want to gather some items to add power to your spells or help you feel more witchy (after all, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to set the mood!), you can get everything you need for a few bucks at the local supermarket or dollar store. Remember, our ancestors worked magic with what they had — not with expensive crystal collections or exotic herbs.

doing some shadow work prompts tonight. 💜
Going back to studying and stressful evenings is a month and a few days away for me so I decided to draw this…. also! This is my first finished pixel(ish) art piece!
Love Drawing Bath
You all liked my last bath spell, so here is another one!
What it does:
Use this when you’re looking to draw love and romance. This spell will make your energy more magnetic and open to love.
What you’ll need:
White/Pink candles
Pink/Red rose petals
Rose quartz
Amethyst
Cinnamon
Lavender (flower or oil)
Jasmine (flower or oil)
Aloe
Sage
What to do:
Run a bath as hot as you can without being uncomfortable. Put at least one candle at the 4 corners of your bath, I prefer to light more than that, but use at least 4. Put everything except the candles into the bath. Stay in the bath until it starts to get cool. (Don’t forget to take the stones out before you drain!)
What to say:
(While water is running)
As I draw this bath, I draw love
As I draw this bath, I draw romance
(While getting into the bath)
As I soak in this bath, I soak in power
I bathe myself in light and love
May the one I will love come to me
So I have said it, and so I will be.
