Anyways, Callaway is from Kalos. He's a self-employed artist that works with crystals and metals (makes multi media stuff, Statues, furniture, clothes, photography, etc because if he thinks of an idea, he does everything to learn how to make it happen. "If you can dream it, you can do it" mentality). He moved to Unova to broaden the scope of his business (motivated by past success on temporary stays), where he was introduced to Clay through a gig with Elesa. The two hit it off, and the rest is history! - The story is in an AU timeline, so Callaway is also one of Lacey's biological parents (sea horse dad!)

Due to the type of art he makes, he's naturally become a rock type specialist. His Aurorus was his first Pokémon and they've been through basically everything together. Carbink was found while cave-diving for gems and joined the team after gently befriending it. Macargo was third, sought after by Cal to melt down precious metals so he could work with them. His Gigalith was the first Pokémon he caught when he moved to Unova - he literally squealed with joy upon finding the little Roggenrola and to this day calls him "Little Tiny" despite him now being a person sized beast.
