how do you play out rhys's relationship with Sasha during the game? I usually keep the flower but I feel bad :/
Hahaha, I also usually keep the flower, it’s just so hilariously awkward. In general, I don’t like that whole sequence. I mean, I’m happy for Rhys and Sasha to be a shipping option, my gripe is that it’s the only option with no way to avoid it. It’s extra weird and frustrating considering how much choice you get in some parts of the game, and how vastly different they can make your play through (trusting Jack vs Fiona, reject or rule Hyperion, intervening with Cassius and Athena, etc). If you’re going to offer romance options, why not let me choose from everyone? Or at least make it so that only certain interactions with Sasha unlock that pathway. Anyway, yeah that part is just sorta weird to me.

I got a bunch of new brushes for Clip Studio so I sorta wanted to try something different, a little cleaner and bolder. Anyway, Rhys and Vaughn get married in a beautiful, touching ceremony. Thanks! It’s more “this is what I imagine they were like at uni” but I guess until Telltale gives us more details, it is destined to be an AU forever. I actually want to draw the whole Vaughn-on-the-curb thing at some point, so I will continue to draw their dorky uni selves.
In uni rhys and vaughn would probably walk in on awkward moments with each other, like rhys doing yoga and bending over right when vaughn walks in

Been sitting on this for a while and I don’t think I’m gonna finish it soon. Hoping that just calling it quits dislodges my art block. I kinda love thinking about Rhys and Vaughn at uni, and I am convinced that Vaughn has been in love with Rhys from the moment they met.

Oh man, this has been sitting in my inbox for a while because I didn’t really know how to answer. In the interests of disclosure, this was sent before I posted this standalone piece of Sasha, so I think you were originally talking about this ensemble post.
I’m going to take a wild guess that your reason for assuming I hate Sasha is because she is the only romance option available in the game for Rhys, and I pretty clearly prefer a different pairing for him. I know that some people get somewhat possessive over their ships, but I’ve always enjoyed reading/seeing stuff of my favourite characters, even if they’re in other pairings that aren’t otp status. I’m not saying everyone needs to be like that, more that I’m trying to explain to you how weird I find this question. Just because I pair Rhys and Vaughn together doesn’t mean I can’t like Sasha? I’ll be honest and say I did not like the Sasha romance plot. It felt out of place and shoehorned in, and I didn’t think she and Rhys had great chemistry. Honestly, I think Sasha would get bored or even annoyed with Rhys! And of course not everyone agrees with me on that, which is... great! It’s part of what I love about fandoms, seeing how different people take different things from the same source material. But I was really bummed out to see her story arc get relegated to The Love Interest (which is what I was afraid would happen to Fiona at first, tbh). But that’s not Sasha’s fault, it’s the writers/producers/whoever was in charge of making decisions about her’s fault. And I feel like this about Vaughn too, btw! He got sidelined a lot, and kinda reduced to a punching bag. But I really love Sasha, and I wanted WAY more out of her than we got. And she deserved more than we got.
So... to answer your question, I drew her because she’s a badass and I love her.

Aww, thanks anon. I’ve not been so great recently, so thanks for the message. I’m glad to hear you’re on board for the Rhys/Vaughn train, there are lots of people out there who make cute art and write cute fics for this pairing. And if you’re ever in the mood to talk about them, I’m always happy to shout with other people about how dumb and in love they are.

yes this is extremely adorable. i wanted to draw this, but i’ve been busy and feeling a little down lately. but vaughn picking up rhys is something that i always think is stupid cute. like his way of showing off how BUFF he got and impressing his skinny boyfriend
