I’ve decided to merge my 3D sideblog with my main one, because I no longer see a point in keeping them separate. 3D work has become an integral part of character creation and development, and I want to keep them all in one place. Hopefully, it will be much more fun to see a character or project evolve in many visual styles and aspects.

LV-08056113 - Levie

CyberSphere engineer. Hacker extraordinaire. Fugitive. 

Levie is a hybrid between woman and machine, her organic cells having merged with the nanomachines she’d been injected with during the procedure of artificial implants. Her limbs are completely artificial, as she suffered a collateral damage during a military procedure. The company she worked for decided to turn her into an experimental hybrid, which turned out successful, and due to her high intelligence and abilities to easily access the cybersphere, she became the main information gatherer, code cracker and programmer of the institution. But all with a price: no freedom. Of course, that didn’t sit well with a cyborg capable of transcending the cyberspace, so she became one of the most wanted military assets in the world.

Character design experiment I made in 3D to train my sense of proportions and atmospheric lightning on a given theme. Wanted it to be more complete as a character design, so I made turnarounds as well. 

And I really wanted to create a character that doesn’t fight through physical force, but rather through technology and wits. She’s more fun and quirky rather than cruel and violent. Also, her artificial limbs can actually take on a organic, human-like appearance, thanks to the nanomachines that create a thick surface similar to skin.

tech specs: Scene was composed and rendered in DazStudio 4.6, and postworked in CS5. I’ve used the new Genesis2 base figure from Daz3d, (I quite like how they’ve rigged her) with the included skin shaders. Lightning was done with UberEnvironment, a spotlight, rim light and specular lights. Her limbs are part of the Bot Armor package for G2F.

I wanted to do something really scifi and cyber, but with a spiritual, almost mystical feel to it.
