It's funny, when I started playing it safe and got into the habit of staying safe, I started to forget my potential. After awhile, I started forgetting the things I've done and forgot how attainable are the things I wanted. To be honest, I was afraid to do this hike. I've gotten way out of shape and I kept making excuses. Even this morning, thoughts of staying in bed, of rainy weather, and lack of physical ability made me conisder giving up the tradition of doing this workout this yr. As I started the hike this morning, in the cold dark, I still was tempted to give up. But I kept saying, no. When the rains came in and out, further more testing my resolve, I denied myself to give in. I refused, to end this year a lesser man. I'm glad I committed, I'm glad I kept saying no. Because I made it, and the fear of failing was much worse than actually doing it. I will end 2015 strong, and start 2016 renewed. (at Koko Crater Stairs)
