The archangel smiled. “Of course. But please don’t leave for so long next time” she said softly, pressing her forehead against his. They had been through so much together. Gabrielle’s grip on him tightened a bit more. “I love you” she whispered.

"I've disappointed you." He murmurs in a matter-of-fact voice. His gaze continues to wander elsewhere until her three words manage to lift his spirits. Eyes flickering up to hers, the look on his face is one of disbelief, but also relief. "I love you." It felt quite nice to be able to say those words to her again.

She couldn’t help but shiver at the feeling of his finger against her lip. Gods she had missed him so much. Even though she had lived many million years, the five months without him had been the longest five months she has ever experienced. And now that she had him home and in her arms, she just wanted to kiss him and make love to him for the next five months to make up for lost time. “I’ve thought about nothing but you.” she admits in a soft voice.

His face softens at her confession, a tiny smile spreading over his cheeks. The hybrid breathes out slowly, in awe of the angel. If he was going to be honest, he would say that her words were more accurate than his. He had thought only of her too. "Good things, I hope. Not all bad." He could only dream that she wasn't too furious for such a long absence. Almost nervously, his gaze shies away from her.

The archangel smiled and nipped at his lower lip. “Good. Cuz I missed you that much as well.” She wanted to see how long until he broke down and kissed her. It was always a fun game she would play.

"I hope so." He cocks his head to the side thoughtfully, reaching up with his index finger and running it across her bottom lip. Slowly his eyes flicker back up to hers, and he wonders what the angel might be thinking of. "I've thought of you often." He admits, although it was likely no secret to her.

"Oh?" She smirked, leaning in so that her lips brushed his as she spoke. "And exactly how much did you miss me" she purred.
