I know I can’t be the only one in the shadow dominance discord who is fed up with the mods. They banned images from being posted because it was “cluttering the general channel” because “people were abusing it” and I was fine with it at first. Then I went and looked through and only saw TWO offenses, one of which was obviously deleted. That was in the span of like over a week apart? 

So we’re not allowed to post images at all. This, along with other behaviors from the mods/orgs has really turned me off from Shadom. They make polls for things, but we never see the results of them when they decide on pushes and results. They don’t really ask the opinions of other people in the flight before they do things, and they’re pretty quick to shut people down if they don’t like the way you say/do something. 

Where was the vote to ban images? If it’s really a big issue, then a poll would show that, right? They said it was for “mobile users” who didn’t want to have to scroll down past a bunch of images to keep up with the conversation, but that doesn’t add up. EVERYBODY has to scroll past images. That’s how Discord as a platform works. It wasn’t “cluttering” anything, it was part of a conversation. Nobody was “spamming images” and got it taken away from everyone. Two different people on two different occasions said something with an image that should have gone in another chat. THAT’S IT.

Also, every time you so much as stray off topic a LITTLE BIT you get shot down and told to either stop the conversation all together or to move it. Conversations will naturally change and flow. So you’re telling me every time a topic changes we have to stop talking?

This is still a website about virtual dragons, right? 

At first I thought it was just necessary duties that moderators and organizers have to do to keep things running smoothly but it has VERY quickly escalated beyond that. It is no longer for the betterment of the server or of shadom, it’s almost feels like they just like being in control. Some of them are very kind, but others are just plain shady (no pun intended) 

Every time the topic gets brought up in General, they say they’re aware of it and then redirect/change the topic. So we’re not even allowed to discuss it, which is just plain wrong. Why are you so afraid of open discussion, Shadom? Why so quick to shut down criticism? Is this why a bunch of orgs left and stepped down without giving any warning or reason?

Does anyone know if DW is on Fire’s dom team, running activities, doing foddart etc etc? Because I don’t think I can’t support someone who goes off the rails for a personal grudge. A grudge against someone who, from all the ‘evidence’ that was posted, was only guilty of being a busy human being. 

How arrogant do you have to be to not admit that there are people who just don’t like you based on how you behave instead of it being some sort of grand conspiracy? I’ve never been in a discord with DW and I don’t like them judging from how they’ve acted and continue to act. Taking pot shots at someone’s crowdfunding page? Continuously alluding to there being something more shady when all there is just more paranoia and a personal grudge? Yeah…'big red flag’, 'big yikes’ and 'more suspicion’ there.

I had moderated a server with him. I say had because he was demoted and then later left the server.

He was promoted to admin by the server owner under the guise that he had moderating experience seeing as he is a dom head and also owns/moderates many FR servers.

For the first week or two of the server existing he was around but after a bit he slowly showed less and less activity in the server, only responding to nest rental pings and not even responding to half the moderator pings. His excuse was always that he was helping with shadow’s dom team, but he didn’t respond even when shadow had no planned pushes.

After frustration the owner of the server demoted him and promoted someone else to admin, leaving him as a normal moderator. Shortly after he noticed, 2 weeks later, that he had been demoted, there was a moderator discussion about if he should be removed for inactivity.

We decided to ask him if he would be willing to be more active or to voluntarily step down from the team. His response was “I look in from time to time; I just focus mostly on the coli, fest, and dom channels.” There was no festival channel in the server and this didn’t even answer the question!

In the end we elected to remove him.

That’s literally what the album cover of Dark Side Of The Moon is. This is also able to be reproduced in a similar way with droplets of water in the air, which creates rainbows.

I think FR should get rid of the +1 gem for fed and happy lair each day, along with gems spawning from chests. The reason why is because once that stops, gems become a bit more of a commodity on the site, and I feel that would force everyone to buy gem packs then. Then people would actually support the site, so that Flight Rising didn’t have the need to feel like they need to sell merch to survive.

So I’m an artist, and of course when I play petsites one of my favorite things to do is draw. I like to wade into the forums and find a ‘draw ___ above you’ or w/e to build a portfolio and get a feel for how things generally go.

However, with FR it feels like you HAVE to have apparel on your dragon (no hate on people that love it, I personally just don’t like how it looks). My dragons are “naked” (some have accessories, trinkets – and IMO those are fine!). But without said full set of apparel I don’t feel comfortable participating in the forum games. I guess I’m worried people think my dragons are 'low-effort’ or something and have nothing to draw off of.

Ok so I think Shadow doing a conquest for mothers day is absolutely adorable and I love it.

However… the badges.

The first badge they put out, the absolutely ADORABLE hanging bat lantern was so good. I was so excited to see more in that style.

The second badge was… ok. A bit of a let down from the first but perfectly fine.

The third badge was OK too. Wasn’t as high quality and looks more like a tacky barrel than a lantern but… fine.

The fourth is just pathetic. It’s not well made, it looks awkward, it looks like someone made a quick purple brick in MS paint with stink lines under it.

i’m too tired to even. Analyze all the reasons why this is shitty rn but some things i would like to point out:

- saying we weren’t even trying, ignoring the fact that a light sprite (one of the most valuable items on fr) was raffled off, the ah broke, fodder floor at its highest point was 22kt, and we flipped several times on the last day

- also ignoring the like 50 people who are saying this will probably go down in dom battle history

- there are pinglist forms everywhere they don’t need to demand someone notify them they can literally just sign up

- “do you even serve your own flight?” and then immediately admits that they didn’t even help

- “‘second place is okay, it’s okay’, EXCEPT the arcane who clearly needed to join forces” they posted this in the dom forum. literally all they had to do was scroll down and they could see the weeks of planning and the inflight attendants hub from during the push which had 1400+ posts (for that matter they could also check the inflight raffle hub which had 200 people and thats just people who were in the raffle) meanwhile again i emphasize that they literally didn’t even help

sincerely hoping turns out to be badly-written sarcasm or a joke or something but. hmmmmm doubt

anyways i would like to take this moment to say @ my fellow arcanites i’m love you, you all did so amazingly well and in all my years on FR i’ve never been prouder to be a member of arcane
