Digital Acts Of Hubris

As of right now there are 5 Anahtars, actually, because I realized I had fucked with the point gravitas and that's why no one was getting him. I didn't change his answers, but the answers to which he was a secondary result have more points now, to make up for the balance, if that makes sense.

I ended up picking these questions out of a really long list that I made of questions that I thought one may contemplate when reading the story, or questions that (hopefully) the story asks in some way. Like the sour nature of hard rules, and how there will always be cases in which the rule causes harm, but what do you do about that, as the enforcer of the rule? do you dismantle it? do you uphold it? are you the problem? Or the question about how one considers their place of birth. A number of characters, particularly the main 4, heavily struggle with that. So I really wanted to give a sense of what the story's themes are about through the questions.

On the answers-- I tried to answer how they would, invdividually. It was a rather fun exercise for me, writing wise. Seeing how X character with Y background would perceive Z question. There's also the point of what's actually true about them VS what they think is true, on the more ambivalent questions. Like on the one about the nature of love: a character who has been betrayed and has grown bitter over the concept, will answer negatively even though plot-wise, and on a meaningful level, they still believe in love and are open to it.

For the Anahtar in particular, I wrote the answers the fastest, as they came to me. I think I mentioned this in another ask as well but it's primarily because he's emotionally impulsive-- He wears all his psyche on his sleeve and can't hide for shit, even though he's spent a whole while trying. I imagined him going through the questionnaire to sound like this esoteric, vague, and self assured sceptic, but he ends up coming off surprisingly honest and vulnerable the darker the questions get.

Lore wise, the easiest way I can put it is: imagine if a dude lowkey peaked in magical high school by evoking God's wrath, got to fuck a princess and live in a castle and have everyone bow at his feet,,, and then he wakes up one day like 10 years later and everyone highkey wants him dead, including God AND the princess, now Empress, and he's stuck in the woods with some tomboy who thinks God is speaking through falling leaves.....and now they have to kill God with their joint maximized slay.....while his lungs are collapsing.

but also i really adored some of the questions in the quiz, like they really made me think in like a good way. my fav one was probs the one with death

The greek tragedies bit-- it's because Lys names his birds after Greek tragedy heroines (Elle for Elektra, Andy for Antigone, Mede for Medea) and the two that don't befit that pattern are for other character results (not all the rest are lys, but you know. gravity points. whatever)

Does it make sense if Death is also an actual character in the story....and figurehead of an entire religion with different heresies....so in a sense....im categorizing you in a heresy, based on how you image Her.....and then ascribing you a character......
