Your burning feathers sear the air. You are a bright, wild thing, filling the sky with unholy light. As you plummet toward the ground with your brothers and sisters, you begin to sing. But you are not singing the praise of the Lord, not anymore. This song is more of a shriek, a broken, defiant sound. You sing of the pain of betrayal, of the pain your now twisted body. And as you hurdle across the skies, you also sing of freedom.
