when did they all first meet eachother?
The room went quiet as the letter was read aloud. After a pregnant pause, Antonio spoke up. “Well, you see... We technically don’t know each other in person. We’re all asleep.” He tugged on his pendant around his neck, “These things have something to do with it, but we’re not entirely sure how it works.”
Yao nodded, adding onto that, “Kiku and I have been able to come here much longer than anyone else here tonight, and we knew others who have not since returned.” His hazel eyes darted to where Ludwig and Gilbert stood before turning back to the letter on the table.
Kiku hummed in agreement, his eyes flitting to the Vargas twins as Yao made the last comment. “Hai. Typically when we wake up here, we wake up in the field outside of this castle, and we come in here so we’re not wandering until we wake up, so that’s where most of our first interactions happened. As for when, we all appeared at different times, so there is no definite answer. We each have our own stories to tell about how we came here and met each other.”
Matthew chuckled under his breath and turned to René, “You thought I was your son when we first met.”
The Frenchman brushed his hair behind his ear and rolled his eyes jokingly, though he was embarrassed he had brought it up. “Yes, well, we do look a bit similar. Besides, we didn’t have the worst meeting out of everyone here.”
Matthew bobbed his head, another bout of chuckles escaping him. “True true. Arthur clashed with almost everyone when he first came.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Arthur asked, bristling at the accusation as his freckled cheeks grew warm.
“You know exactly what he means dude.” Alfred said with a hearty laugh, putting his hands on his hips and grinning at the Englishman. “You were absolutely fuming! I thought my ears would keep ringing until after I woke up!”
“You’re not off the hook either, Mr. Sky man.” Gilbert teased from across the room, striding over and slinging an arm around the American’s shoulders.
“Hey! It’s not my fault this looks like the Gaia system!” Alfred complained, pouting at Gilbert.
“This isn’t anything like your precious ‘Gaia system’.” Ivan said quietly, the corners of his mouth quirking up in a small smile.
“You should not make fun of him for mistaking this for something else. It looks like something from a movie.” Ludwig spoke up, scolding the group.
Lovino frowned, stepping away from Feliciano’s side. “As if we’d listen to you.” He grumbled, “You were so utterly confused when you came here you practically couldn’t walk!”
Feliciano tugged on his brother’s greca, “Maybe we should be nicer, Fratello. None of us exactly had a good time when first coming here.” The younger Italian twin said with a small smile as he attempted to deescalate the situation.
The room quickly devolved into soon laughter after that, with each member poking fun at another in pure fun.
