God performs 100% of the work that goes into saving. He sovereignly chose to reconcile man to Himself after the fall. He sovereignly chose to come to earth to live a perfect life, be crucified as a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, and be raised to life as a conqueror of sin and death. He also sovereignly chose that any who are in Christ would be saved and receive all spiritual blessings. This is all the work of God without any human input. But the Bible also emphatically commands man to have faith in order to be placed in Christ and that this is fully the responsibility of man. But our faith does not save us, it is the means by which God has sovereignly chosen to place us in Christ. Faith is not a work that merits salvation and it is not possible to twist the scriptures in any way to claim that it is.
