a year ago, pamela would have scoffed at the idea of putting herself in DANGER for the sake of others. it was all about survival of the fittest. proving that you were the strongest of the strong. yet, despite herself, the botanist had found herself fighting alongside all the do-gooders at that disastrous gala. it was odd regaining a sense of humanity. for so long, she had only cared about the safety of her CHILDREN. and, while she was nowhere near selfless, she found herself slightly more aware of the safety of people other than herself. frowning slightly at the thought, pam sat down near a windowsill; soaking in the almost intoxicating warmth of the sun. it was crazy how much one young woman had managed to change her. and while it was for the better, it had made her almost distant the past few days. processing such feelings was never something ivy had been particularly GOOD at. @hvrlcy
THE GALA WAS NOTHING LIKE WHAT SHE THOUGHT it’d be. the night started out great -- harley with her gold and black sequined dress and blonde, blue, and pink tresses let loose for once, but then before she knew it she was being violently threw across the marbled floor straight into a concrete pillar. she was lucky to only have a bump on her head and a sprained ankle as a result, but the harlequin was now on crutches or limping around for the time being which definitely wasn’t fun for harley who was frequently seen jumping around the place. but that wasn’t her concern. what she had been thinking about was that talk the both of them had... never had harley thought that the two would grow so close, but there she was with ivy on her mind most hours of the day. crutching out to pam’s usual spot, harley allowed her normal grin to spread across her lips right below those obnoxiously big 70′s style sunglasses she was wearing -- another red pair in her hand for pam. ❝ hiya, pun’kin- ❞ she announced, getting close enough before leaning her crutches on the nearly wall and sliding in that seat with ivy -- the fit a bit tight, but harley liked the proximity. ❝ got these for ya- ❞ she continued, presenting those glasses.
