â âts not fucking grayson. â    he spat out as his anger subsided at the sight of the other slightly. he let out a soft breath before he shook his head.    â  coffee isnât gonna do it for me. â    with an eyebrow raised, he looked at the other, sincerity and hope in his voice.    â  you wanna get out of here ? â    Â
âi caught that. youâd be in a different mood if it was.â he knew royal a little better since they had hung out. it was someone that annoyed him. âi have an idea who it is but itâs a touchy subject already so i wonât bring him up.â his face softened a little and he nodded, standing up from his spot at the table. âyeah, anywhere you want to go.â he said, smiling as he nodded to the door.

antonio-lance-hillâ:
pausing for a moment as he stands up to fix his own shirt and take off his gloves, antonio shrugged. ââi may be young, but i know how to do my job. iâll know the signs if you need any help, you can believe that.. and i have a brother who probably plays football. iâve seen a few football players go down with hits and have concussions without them even KNOWING. and donât worry, iâll be mindful of that.ââ he points at hudson for a moment before moving to turn away from him and head over to the coach to give the go-ahead.Â
hudson couldnât hide his annoyance very well and especially while there was still a game going on that he wasnât part of. âi never said you didnât know how to do your job. it was just a question.â hudson had an interest in sports medicine, thatâs why it was his major but he wasnât far enough into it yet. âdo you? is he any good?â hudson shook his head, glancing back at the other male. âi get it. youâve seen a lot. we donât have to get that into it.â he bit his lip a little, hoping to get the okay to return to the field. âi donât doubt that.âÂ
ofc-callumâ:
âExactly. Everyoneâs gonna like something that otherâs donât. Thatâs just how life is,â he shrugged. Callum crossed his arms across his chest and shook his head, âThatâs completely not true. I didnât check out your junk, so Iâd say itâs a very fair argument,â he stated. Cal raised his eyebrows, âAnd before you go thinking I have a small dick because I can wear tight pants, there are ways ofâŚhiding it.â
âthatâs how life is going to stay. some people have better things than others. or so they think.â hudson couldnât help but smile a bit. âi mean, you can if you want. no one is stopping you from doing it.â hudson stood up a bit taller, shrugging his shoulders slightly. âi never said that or assume. i mean, thatâs unfair, right? assuming people that wear certain clothing are inadequate.âÂ
royalblaiirâ:
â  why does everyone keep fucking asking me how heâs doing ? â    he groaned as he walked into the coffee shop across the street from the hospital talking to no one in particular. heâd made it all the way to the lobby before turning back. fuck that guy. he wanted nothing to do with him and heâd made that clear over the last eighteen years. heâs not my brother.   Â
âask you how whoâs doing?â hudson said from his seat at the coffee table near the door. the voice sounded familiar to him when he heard it. his head shook a little as he leaned back in his chair. hudson had spent the long weekend with his family then playing the final game of the season. he didnât have time to keep up on other matters. âit canât be grayson because you wouldnât be so nonchalant about it.âÂ
antonio-lance-hillâ:
ââhudson right? yeah, i can see you donât need it. but its still part of MY JOB to check in on injuries like this.ââ when seeing hudson had no sign of a concussion, antonio shut his flashlight off and put it back in his bag. ââalright. youâre good, but if i see any signs show up late iâm coming back to check in on you. no fussing about it, okay?ââ reaching for his bag again to pull out an icepack, he hands it to hudson with a nod.
âthatâs my name, yeah. i understand that but iâve been through this before and iâll be fine. iâll heal.â maybe not perfectly but heâd definitely heal. he blinked his eyes as the light went out before shaking his head. âhow are you going to know if there are any signs?â he lifted his eyebrow at the other male. âfine, fine but just know that i hate medical attention.â taking the ice pack, he pressed it against his nose. it felt much better instantly with the coolness.
antonio-lance-hillâ:
a gloved hand moves to scratch his own face as the other hand reaches for his little flashlight. ââlook dude, you can keep telling me youâre fine but its protocol. humor me this one time, and let me finish my little procedure..ââ antonio trailed off, and brought the flashlight up. ââget readyâââ he shines the flashlight in his eyes to see if he had any sign of a concussion. ââ tell me the date today, and tell me what team youâre playing.ââ
hudson had been in fights and accidents throughout his life and he hated when people paid too much attention to him. he would heal. it would be fine. âi know that itâs protocol but i donât need it.â he wasnât a fan of people fussing over himself. just a month ago, he was close to this same situation. luckily his nose had been avoided. his eyes squinted at the light but moved them along as he was told. âitâs november 25th and weâre playing sierra college. iâm fine.âÂ

âi told you that i donât need to get it checked out.â hudson said, holding onto his swollen nose as blood moved down his face. a hard hit from an opposing player during the game caused said injury but really, he was fine. âa bit of ice and some packing in the nostrils will be fine.â it wasnât the first time he had been hit in the face and it definitely wouldnât be the last. his free hand lifted to swat at the other maleâs arm. âiâm serious. i donât need you to reset it or anything. iâm good.âÂ

âI guess thatâs pretty fair. I just like clothes a lot,â he shrugged. Callum liked looking nice and keeping up with trends. It as fun for him and also got him lots of dates. He squinted his eyes and licked his lips, âIâm sorry, but did you just look at my crotch? Dude, not cool.âÂ
âto each their own, right? we all have our things that we love.â hudsonâs was obviously sports and he never really cared about the clothing he wore. as long as it was clean. he couldnât help but laugh a little as he was called out. a simple shrug left his shoulders as he moved his eyes back to the blondeâs face. âyou canât talk about it and not expect someone to check it out. i mean, thatâs not fair.âÂ
cleonaraeâ:
âo-oh⌠me? youâre talking to me,â she murmured, her voice getting lower with nearly every word. she glanced at the male briefly with a small nod and forced smile. âyeah⌠iâm excited to get drunk and itâll be the first day of my birth-month, so thatâs fun too.â yes, she was the type to celebrate her birth-month. any excuse to guilt her friends into being nicer than normal toward her was a good idea to cleo. âplus, i was never really cared for college sports all that much, but i mean, itâs something to look forward too when youâre hungover. unlessâ unless youâre playing in it, then i suppose congratulations.Â
âunless thereâs another person behind you.â hudson shot up his eyebrow before shaking his head at the brunette. he knew who she was but he didnât like to get caught up in the family rivalry. even if it was a mess. âbirth month? thatâs a little extra isnât it.â hudson really only needed a day or two to celebrate his own but he knew some people made it into a spectacle. âwhat? thatâs crazy. college sports are amazing and should be watched just as much as professional sports.â he shook his head. âiâm not going to play in it but itâs still a huge thing. sometimes even better than being drunk.âÂ

royal: hey, first game's on friday. i can hang after though?

âi guess during the holidays it just comes from more people, so it is a little different,â she let out a soft laugh. after years of practice she had gotten only marginally better at not letting the criticism bother her. âright, right. ââ and thereâs a whole committee that picks the bowls and the playoffs, correct? like theyâre the ones who do all the rankings?â
âmaybe thatâs it but it seems like thereâs more anger when more people are around. like theyâre just waiting for that moment to piss everyone off.â he wasnât sure. he tried to stay out of it but sometimes it had to be handled. âyeah, yeah, thereâs a whole thing before the games are played because the seasons end in like a week then the bowls donât begin until the end of december.âÂ
henrourkeâ:
âokay, maybe i donât want it be east coast cold. but iâd take pacific northwest cold. or just cold enough to feel like winter.â he really doesnât know the first thing about sports, especially football. but itâs the attempt to get it that counts, right? âsoâŚis it like the college football equivalent then?â
âif you wanted that, iâd probably be looking at you a little differently. i donât think i could handle that kind of cold. itâs terrible. itâs like bitter cold. so iâve heard.â he shivered a little, hugging his arms around his chest. he didnât want to think of that. âkind of. thatâs the championship game. this is more like the probowl. it still counts but itâs much more fun.â
