“We at Wilde Incorporated eagerly await that report. Thank you, Officer Hopps.”

In spite of the fact that they were out meter maiding today, it was a nice day so far and only getting better in his opinion. They were set to go off duty earlier than usual today and so far there was no crime that called for the two best officers in the ZPD to be more active than they were.

“So which one would you like, Carrots? I personally like the Vanilla Frappe.”

◘ - The rabbit would step inside the coffeeshop with another set of giggles escaping        her mouth, much to her failure of muffling them with her paw.       She did remember how dull it was to be a meter-maid on a usual day...         but doing a shift like this with Nick as her partner, a lot more bareable.

      “  Hmm... well, I usually take the carrot iced coffee, buuuuut....             I think I’ll switch things up and uhm... I’ll go for a large cappuccino ! “

Some old habits died hard and for Nick, one of those habits was making it seem like nothing got to him ever. Even to Judy unless he caught himself doing it. And now was one of those times. She was his partner and his best friend and they’d had been through a lot worse. He was sure she would understand anyway when he told.

“No, that’s not true.. I feel a bit bad about Finn. He has to hustle alone now and its not very easy for him. I want to do something to make it up to him, but I don’t know what I could do.”

◘ - The bunny would smile up at the fox when he explained what was going on with him.        Of course, she had been able to sense something was on his mind, it was       often just a matter of getting it out of him. She did want to help, after all.

      After the explaination had been laid out, a single paw would hold against his own,         a smile widening across her lips. 

      “  You want to go see him, do you ?  I think you should.          I don’t know what you two could do, but... I know you two are close..  “

        She got a bit closer, her arms clinging against his arm.

{🦊}- “Hey now, Carrots, only my mom can call me Nickie,” he replied, but the laugh in his voice and the smile on his face was very telling that he wasn’t angry. “But yeah, I’m good with it, I draw the line at muzzles though.”

◘ - “ Oh, I gotcha. No more’a that nickname then... “   A pause.       “  Hehehehe~  Nick-name !  “ A bad pun made, but still generated a giggle from her. 

{🦊}-  “No, not making them. I just thought, I’d buy one. Its hot today and I wanted something sweet.”

Plus he still felt guilty for leaving Finnick on the streets to hustle as he and Judy solved a crime and exposed a tyrant’s conspiracy. Then he was off to the police academy to get trained for his new career shortly after and hadn’t had time to tell anyone anything aside from Judy. But that was because they spent nearly every day together.

“So what’s up? Why were you looking for me?”

◘ -  “  Oh, nothing special. I just wanted to spend time with you  !  “

      The bunny would look up at the fox as he spoke to her. While she wasn’t        sure if he was feeling down on something, she would just test the waters,       make sure her favorite fox was on his fullest.
