What Brought Us Here is a short story about Hanako and Nene from Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun by AidaIro about Tanabata’s Festival and the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi.

Omg yes!! I think Tsukasa is definitely going to appear in this current arc!

I mean, we already have Natsuhiko doing something shady—wanting to capture No.6, which basically screams Tsukasa!

And I think Tsukasa has been steadily learning that Nene is someone very special to Hanako—

Like here ^^^ he saw Hanako kiss Nene!

And here! He technically saw/heard Nene say she likes Hanako—because right after, he appears!

And he even points out the fact that Hanako is protecting Nene~

And Tsukasa directly asks Nene if she and Hanako kissed yet—and said, “Well, you’re dating, aren’t you?”

So, to Tsukasa, those moments he witnessed were already enough to make him believe Hanako and Nene are a couple!

And lastly, Tsukasa tested Nene to see if she could kill Hanako in the fake world—because if she killed Hanako, then she supposedly could return back to the real world.

But Nene couldn’t do it.

So Tsukasa is aware that there is something between them before Hanako and Nene were aware it—and even now, I don’t think Hanako and Nene realize the other likes them—and they’re in a mutual pining stage~

However, Tsukasa is very much aware of this.

And, like you said, he’s waiting for Nene to draw out Hanako’s true wish.

Which is not to go to the moon—

Hanako has the same surprised expression as he did when Nene knocked on his stall.

There was a door between themーseparated them from each other. Only people who were born with sixth sense and people who were near the far shore can summon him. One day this girl, hoping for romance, knocked on his stall.

He knew from the beginning that her lifespan was short. It was destined from the moment she was born. She was totally recklessーswallowed a mermaid scale and cursed herself. But Hanako, he still wanted to grant her wish. Her real wishーto be with someone.

Tying their fates togetherーacross the near and far shores. She became his assistant.

As time goes by, her fate remained unchanged. But his feelings changed. He grew to care deeply about her. He wanted something that seemed impossible to achieveーjust like his dream when he was alive.

He thought that he didn't care if she was going to die. He thought that it wouldn't make a difference.

He was wrong.

He wants her to live. To live past her lifespan. To live happily. He wanted that for her to the point he wanted to lock her up. It hurt him to see Nene mad at himーbut he knew this was the only way.

And now she was right in front of himーno door in between them. She holding his hand gently with her ownーbringing it closer to her as she says his name.

For Hanako, it almost felt surreal. The girl who knocked on his stallーthe girl who was clumsy enough to curse herselfーthe girl who is a dreamerーthe girl who he cares about deeplyーthe girl who he wants to liveーand the girl who he fell in love with was asking him if she would grant her wish.

Of course, when Nene makes a wish, he just can't say no.

He can't go to the moon with herーhis wish couldn't be granted when he was alive and it won't be granted now that he's dead. But Nene's wishーit seems impossible but he'll grant her wish.

So, we know that sumire betrayed hananene: 

and we’re all like “SUMIRE U BIATCH HOW DARE U” but then this happens. 

the banglet thing prevents nene from going off the edge. And who gave nene the banglet…?

Sumire! Now, sumire must’ve known that the banglet would do something to prevent her from dying (cuz we see her even having them as a child.) So maybe she did it to protect nene…? She also states that she fell in love with a supernatural as well, so she must’ve known what kills supernaturals as well. In the first image, her dagger thingy is shown to have electric sparks, indicating that it’s a weapon against apparitions. Hanako’s knife is also out, so he must’ve tried to defend himself. 

But, we see that hanako isn’t dead, just injured, and he springs in to rescue yashiro! (and we get this bootaeful scene uwu)
