As a follow up of my previous post, I've come up with a few headcanons of my own regarding Atlas;
-I think while under his employment, as long as you were loyal and competent, you were treated relatively well and fairly. Even if you made a mistake, as long as it didn't involve ratting on him or his establishment to the police or someone else. I don't imagine him causing physical harm or death out of petty anger. Obviously he would be stern in following his orders correctly, but I don't think it would be the end of your job or life if something went wrong.
-I like to believe he was a gentleman in basically every definition of the term. And not the shallow, condescending kind that would just pretend a facade to get his way, I feel like he'd have an inordinate amount of respect for women than most of his fellow men at the time had, and treated them in a gentler, less fierce manner, even if it was still masked by the apathetic look on his face. That being said, I don't believe he was the perfect prince towards them, as we've heard about his relationship with Mitzi. Unfortunately he would be tainted by the ideologies of that century to some degree.
-Sort of following the gentleman rant, I think his taste in women was a bit unorthodox for the era. As most of us probably know, the flatter, boxier body type was more favorable at the time of the Prohibition. Yet he had a fling, courted and married a fairly curvaceous woman, of which was basically the opposite of what was considered by many to be the most desirable. Obviously that wasn't the case for everyone, as subjective taste was and is and always will be a thing, but I think it's safe to say that curvier, more rounded women were more his type.
-I think it would upset him more than you would think when people around him got hurt through the job, wether it was out of genuine care or not wanting his empire to falter through loss of suppliers. I think he would keep his true feelings mostly ambiguous so no one could prey on a weakness or folly when it came to those in his life, and I like to believe it would be to try and keep them safe. Or as safe as they could be.
-On a bit of a more funny note, I can picture him the type of guy to just silently and menacingly stand in the dark corner of a room, just watching from afar. And it would make everyone uncomfortable.
That's all I have for now, I'd like to know your thoughts. And feel free to add anything! đ¤
