i fucking love Ghibli, i was raised on Ghibli and some of my best childhood memories involve Ghibli. Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata (RIP) are my biggest role models in life, because they created so many amazingness and i love them so so much. ok now my top 10 favorite Ghibli movies in no order in particular. also i will not include Only Yesterday and From Up On Poppy Hill because they were already on another list i made so yeah

1. My Neighbors the Yamadas (ホーホケキョとなりの山田くん)

so many good memories haha laughing at this family’s shenanigans

2. Whisper of the Heart (耳をすませば)

my mom and i used to act out some of the scenes while we were watching it, it was so cool and i was able to hide my gay panic

3. Spirited Away (千と千尋の神隠し)

haku, chihiro and lin were my first ever gay panic

4. The Wind Rises (風立ちぬ)

5. Ponyo (崖の上のポニョ)

12. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (風の谷のナウシカ)

haha another extra movie. weird creautures (idk how to spell) and powerful women and you guessed it! gay panic

what? another extra movie? yes. this actually makes me cry every time and not only because of gay panic but because of so much sadness this movie has

14. The Cat Returns (猫の恩返し)

last extra movie. i actually didn’t grow up with this movie, i saw it last year with my dad, but i still really like it and i love love love love love cats
